****** Andrea Constand Makes First Statement Since Bill Cosby’s Conviction: ‘Truth Prevails’

Andrea Constand, the woman whose sexual assault complaint against the television icon Bill Cosby led to his conviction, broke her long public silence with a short Twitter message Friday thanking the local community.

“A very profound and heartfelt thank you to the Commonwealth of PA, Montgomery County, for their service and sacrifices,” she wrote, seemingly addressing the district attorney’s office and the jury that on Thursday convicted Mr. Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting Ms. Constand.

“Congratulations,” she added. “Truth prevails.”

Following a high-profile trial like Mr. Cosby’s, the vindicated party traditionally makes the media rounds, appearing to discuss the case on the “Today” show or “Good Morning America.” Ms. Constand has not yet done so.

Outside the courtroom, where Ms. Constand testified that Mr. Cosby had drugged and molested her at his home in 2004, she has been reluctant to speak about the case. That may be due, in part, to the nondisclosure agreement she signed as part of her $3.38 million settlement she reached with Mr. Cosby in 2006.

Last year, a judge ruled that Mr. Cosby could pursue a lawsuit against Ms. Constand based on two Twitter posts she wrote in 2014.
(“I won’t go away, there is a lot more I will say,” she wrote in one.) But as the #MeToo movement against sexual abuse has gained influence, women who have agreed to settlements with powerful men — including Harvey Weinstein, Bill O’Reilly and Donald J. Trump — have broken their nondisclosure agreements, arguing that speaking out was more important.

Ms. Constand’s lawyer, Dolores Troiani, said by phone on Friday that she and her client were evaluating their options and the enforceability of the contract with Mr. Cosby.

“Obviously everyone in the world has sent me an email or text, but we’re just stepping back and seeing where we’re going to go,” Ms. Troiani said, referring to the extensive media requests for interviews with Ms. Constand. “I think we’re taking a breather, for one.”

At a news conference after the verdict on Thursday, Ms. Constand stood by, letting the Montgomery County district attorney, Kevin Steele, and Kristen Gibbons Feden, the special prosecutor on the case, speak about its importance.

Mr. Steele commended Ms. Constand for fighting through two trials. “She has been a major factor in a movement that has gone in the right direction, finally,” he said.

****** The Latest: Cosby convicted of sexually assaulting woman

1:50 p.m.

Bill Cosby has been convicted of drugging and molesting a woman in the first big celebrity trial of the #MeToo era.

A jury outside Philadelphia convicted the "Cosby Show" star of three counts of aggravated indecent assault on Thursday. The guilty verdict came less than a year after another jury deadlocked on the charges.

Cosby was charged with violating Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. His lawyer called Constand a "con artist" who leveled false accusations against Cosby so she could sue him.

Cosby could get up to 10 years in prison on each of the counts.

Dozens of women have come forward in recent years to say he drugged and assaulted them. Five of the other accusers testified against him at the retrial.

The Associated Press does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission. Constand has done so.

___

1:25 p.m.

The jury is heading back to the courtroom and Bill Cosby's defense team is saying there's a verdict in his sexual assault retrial.

The panel of seven men and five women have been deliberating about 14 hours.

The 80-year-old comedian is accused of drugging and violating a woman at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.

He's charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault. A conviction could put him in prison for up to 10 years on each count.

Prosecutors used Cosby's past admissions about drugs and sex as well as the testimony of five other women to help bolster accuser Andrea Constand's allegations. Cosby's lawyers argued Constand leveled false accusations against Cosby so she could sue him and extract a huge civil settlement.

It's the only criminal case to arise from allegations from more than 60 women.

The Associated Press does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission. Constand has done so.

10:50 a.m.

The judge in Bill Cosby's sexual assault retrial says the six alternate jurors will get an hour with the courthouse comfort dog before being sent back to their hotel.

Judge Steven O'Neill said Thursday he planned to meet with the alternates to "let them know they're still important." After O'Neill mentioned the dog, Cosby stood up at the defense table and made a comical, barking-like motion with his mouth.

The alternate jurors are being kept away from the main panel of seven men and five women deliberating Cosby's fate.

The jury spent an hour listening to a court stenographer read back the testimony of defense witness Marguerite Jackson before they resumed talks.

Cosby is charged with drugging and molesting a woman in 2004. He says the woman consented.

___

10:15 a.m.

Jurors at Bill Cosby's sexual assault retrial are having the testimony of the star defense witness read back to them.

The jury is back for Day 2 of deliberations. The panel of seven men and five women started its day Thursday by reviewing the testimony of Marguerite Jackson, who says Cosby's chief accuser spoke of framing a celebrity for the money.

Jackson is an academic adviser at Temple University, where Constand worked as a women's basketball administrator. Jackson testified that Constand told her she could fabricate sexual assault allegations and "get that money" from a lawsuit. Jackson's testimony bolstered Cosby's efforts to show Constand made up the allegations against him to extort a big civil settlement.

Cosby is accused of drugging and molesting Constand in 2004. He says it was consensual.

The Associated Press doesn't typically identify people who say they're victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand has done.

___

8:45 a.m.

Bill Cosby has arrived at a suburban Philadelphia courthouse where jurors are deliberating in the comedian's sexual assault retrial.

The 80-year-old Cosby arrived on Thursday and said "good morning" twice as he entered the courthouse.

The jury of seven men and five women will start their second day of weighing charges by revisiting the testimony of a star defense witness who cast doubt on accuser Andrea Constand's credibility.

Marguerite Jackson's testimony that Constand once spoke of framing a prominent person to score a big payday will be read back to the jury when court resumes.

The jurors completed a marathon, 10-hour session on Wednesday that failed to produce a verdict.

12:25 a.m.

Jurors in Bill Cosby's sexual assault retrial are kicking off a second day of deliberations by revisiting the testimony of a star defense witness who cast doubt on accuser Andrea Constand's credibility.

Marguerite Jackson's testimony that Constand once spoke of framing a prominent person to score a big payday will be read back to the jury when court resumes outside Philadelphia on Thursday.

A marathon, 10-hour first day of deliberations failed to yield a verdict in the first big celebrity trial of the #MeToo era.

The exhausted panel called it a night after rehearing excerpts from Cosby's old deposition testimony, including his admission he gave quaaludes to women he wanted to have sex with in the 1970s.

The Associated Press doesn't typically identify people who say they're victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand has done.

BILL COSBY CRIMINALIZED AFTER BASHING BLACK PEOPLE (KARMA)

BILL COSBY CRIMINALIZED AFTER BASHING BLACK PEOPLE (KARMA):

IT'S NO LAUGHING MATTER.

DR HUXTABLE DISGRACED AFTER EMBARRASSING BLACK PEOPLE FOR DECADES.

William "Bill" Cosby has been officially charged with Sexual Assault crimes.
His bail is set at $1 Million dollars.
This is a sad day for Bill Cosby and his family.
But what's even more sad is how for years Bill Cosby bashed BLACK Men, calling them IRRESPONSIBLE Losers, as he repeatedly spoke Gloom & Doom over the lives of BLACK Men.
Today Bill Cosby himself faces a future of Gloom & Doom.
Let this be a lesson to all BLACK Celebrities and BLACK Leaders.
When GOD blesses you (BLACK People),
he does not bless you so you can go out on the world stage and Bash your own race.
Instead when GOD blesses you (BLACK People) it is so you can Educate and provide OPPORTUNITIES to help uplift other BLACK People.

~ Bill Cosby charged with 2004 sex assault, free on $1M bail

Here's where the laughter ends.

Bill Cosby — America’s Dad — accused of rape by dozens of women, was finally hit with a criminal charge Wednesday before getting released on $1 million bail.

Just weeks before the statute of limitations was set to expire, prosecutors charged Cosby with sexually assaulting a Temple University employee at his suburban Philadelphia mansion in 2004.

“The evidence is strong,” said Montgomery County Prosecutor Kevin Steele, announcing a single count of aggravated indecent assault against the creepy comedian.

Steele described the defenseless victim, tossing a fresh layer of taint on Cosby’s once-wholesome image.
“Frozen, paralyzed, unable to move,” he said. “A person in that state is unable to consent.”
Prosecutors initially declined in 2005 to file charges in the case, citing a lack of evidence.

Accuser Andrea Constand, who has spoken publicly about the encounter with the perverted funnyman, then filed a civil suit against Cosby and settled out of court the following year.

In a deposition in that case, Cosby said under oath that he gave Constand halved pills that he described as “three friends to make (her) relax,” according to the affidavit.

Among the last words she recalled hearing:
“Down them. Put ’em down. Put them in your mouth.”

He also acknowledged under oath that he obtained seven prescriptions in his own name for Quaaludes for the purpose of having sex with women.

A judge unsealed those depositions filed in Philadelphia federal court earlier this year, prompting Montgomery County prosecutors to reopen their criminal case.

“Reopening this case was not a question. Rather, reopening this was our duty,” Steele said.

The new case marks the first criminal prosecution of the diminishing star and sets the stage for what could be a blockbuster trial involving some of the roughly 60 other accusers who say they were sexually assaulted by Cosby.

The 78-year-old faces up to a decade behind bars if convicted. He went from the courthouse, about 10 miles north of Philadelphia, to a local police station and was freed on bail — all within 30 minutes.

“Make no mistake, we intend to mount a vigorous defense against this unjustified charge and we expect that Mr. Cosby will be exonerated,” Cosby’s attorneys said in a statement.

An affidavit made public Wednesday detailed the revolting encounter with Constand in January 2004, which echoed other alleged assaults by Cosby dating as far back as 1965.

Cosby made two unwanted sexual advances on Constand in the months leading up to the assault, papers allege.

Constand, now 42, returned to his home around 8:45 p.m. thinking they were going to discuss her career. Instead, Cosby offered her pills and wine, according to the court papers.

“These will make you feel good. The blue things will take the edge off,” Cosby said, according to documents.

About 30 minutes later Constand was helpless as Cosby positioned himself behind her as she faded “in and out” of consciousness on a couch, according to documents.

Constand had blurred vision and difficulty speaking as Cosby fondled her breasts, put his hand down her pants and penetrated her with his fingers, the affidavit states.

Cosby allegedly took Constand’s right hand and placed it on his privates.

Constand passed out and woke up around 4 a.m. the next day with her bra undone and moved above her breasts, according to the affidavit.

Cosby, dressed in a robe, gave her a muffin, walked to the front door, opened it and merely said, “All right,” the paperwork states.
She recalled leaving the residence without saying anything.

After the alleged assault, Constand fled to Canada to be near family and told her mom what happened.

The mom confronted Cosby over the telephone, according to documents.

Cosby admitted the encounter during their conversation, said he gave Constand some type of “prescription” medication and invited the women on an all-expenses-paid trip to Florida, the affidavit states.

Cosby gave an interview to Cheltenham Township police in January 2005 and claimed the sexual encounter was consensual, according to the affidavit.

“When directly asked if he ever had sexual intercourse with the victim, Cosby gave (police) the unusual answer, ‘never asleep or awake,’” the affidavit claims.

Constand will cooperate with prosecutors in the new case, Steele said.

Attorney Gloria Allred, who represents 29 women who say Cosby also doped and groped them, said her clients are thrilled at the latest development in his long downfall.

“Seeing him criminally charged and having to face a trial is the best Christmas present they have ever received,” Allred said.

JAHI MCMATH vs THE OAKLAND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL: The Hospital Staff Wants Jahi To DIE!!

#JahiMcMathBATTLE

Why Hasn't Pres OBAMA Weighed In On This Situation??

He weighed in on the TRAYVON MARTIN Tragedy.

I wonder if JAHI MCMATH'S Parents Voted for Pres OBAMA in 2008 & 2012??

ARTICLE: "Family Seeks To Move Brain-Dead Girl"

A judge has concluded that Jahi, who suffered complications after tonsil surgery, is brain dead.

"Yesterday we spent Christmas together as a family -- doing a lot of prayers and trying to have some fun, hoping for a miracle, and looks like we may have gotten our miracle.

We found out that someone is willing to take Jahi away from Children's Hospital to a facility nearby here in the Bay Area to treat her," Jahi's uncle, Omari Sealey, told reporters Thursday.

"So right now, we're asking Children's Hospital to work with us to make that possible," he said, referring to Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland.

Sealey declined to identify the other facility.

Jahi was declared brain dead by doctors at the hospital on December 12, three days after tonsil surgery.

The case has drawn National attention and sparked protests from some local leaders who say the hospital should have provided better care.

On Monday, a judge appointed Dr. Paul Fisher, chief of pediatric neurology at Stanford Children's Hospital, to evaluate Jahi as an independent expert.

Fisher testified Tuesday that Jahi meets the criteria for brain death.

Alameda Superior Court Judge Evelio Grillo previously ruled that the hospital must hold off on any decisions regarding discontinuing life support until December 30, and the judge encouraged both sides to work together.

Family attorney Christopher Dolan told reporters Thursday that Jahi would need to have tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes put in before she could be moved.

"The most logical people are the ones in the hospital where she's sitting who have the ability to do that.

If they refuse to do that, and insist upon moving towards this deadline of pulling the plug, then we'll just continue to do what we've been doing," he said.

Chief of Pediatrics David Durand responded in a statement for Children's Hospital.

"Judge Grillo was very clear on Tuesday December 24. He ruled Jahi McMath to be deceased and instructed the hospital to maintain the status quo. Judge Grillo did not authorize or order any surgical procedures or transfer to another facility.

"Children's Hospital Oakland does not believe that performing surgical procedures on the body of a deceased person is an appropriate medical practice.

Children's Hospital Oakland continues to extend its wishes for peace and closure to Jahi McMath's family," he said.

JAHI MCMATH vs PRES OBAMA & OAKLAND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL:

Did JAHI MCMATH'S Parents VOTE for Pres OBAMA in 2008 & 2012??

Has anyone other than Myself wondered why Pres OBAMA hasn't weighed in on this National Story about BLACK Teen JAHI MCMATH??

He weighed in on the TRAYVON MARTIN Tragedy.

So why hasn't Pres OBAMA or someone from his Administration stepped into the JAHI MCMATH situation??

Is it because He is NOT campaigning for another Election??

What about JAHI'S LIFE??

Her Parents want to move her to another Medical Facility before the OAKLAND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL removes her from LIFE SUPPORT.

However Hospital Officials want to KILL this Child!

Why??

I believe it is for the purpose of taking some of her ORGANS. (Human Organ Harvesting)

Or.........

It could be about MONEY.

Or...........

It could be about MEDICAID Limits i.e, OBAMACARE.

I thought Pres OBAMA previously claimed to Care about "HEALTH CARE REFORM".

Especially as it relates to CHILDREN!

I can assure You if this National Story was about a GAY Teenager, someone from Pres OBAMA'S Administration would have commented on this Story by now!

I repeat.

Why hasn't Pres OBAMA or someone from his Administration stepped into the JAHI MCMATH fray??

What about JAHI MCMATH's Life??

Why is everyone in such a hurry to KILL this Child??

If it is NOT about HUMAN ORGAN HARVESTING & Money, then why are the Officials at OAKLAND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL in such a hurry to KILL her??

Did JAHI MCMATH'S Parents VOTE for Pres OBAMA in 2008 & 2012??

JAHI MCMATH vs PRES OBAMA & OAKLAND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL:

WHERE IS PRES OBAMA???

WHERE IS NANCY PELOSI??

WHERE IS DIANNE FEINSTEIN??

WHERE IS JESSE JACKSON SR??

Dear GOD in Heaven help Us!!

UPDATE: A SPONSOR OFFERS TO PAY FOR JAHI MCMATH'S CONTINUED CARE BUT OAKLAND HOSPITAL STILL WANTS TO KILL HER.

WHY??

CAN YOU SAY "HUMAN ORGAN HARVESTING?" (Please Keep Praying)

JAHI MCMATH'S PARENTS CAN FILE A WRONGFUL DEATH LAWSUIT AGAINST THE HOSPITAL THAT KILLED HER.

WHERE IS JESSE JACKSON SR.......DIANNE FEINSTEIN......NANCY PELOSI, AND GLORIA ALLRED???

PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!!!

The CHILDREN'S Hospital in OAKLAND where BLACK Teen JAHI MCMATH was admitted for a Simple Tonsillectomy Surgical Procedure, has still NOT provided a Logical Explanation to JAHI'S parents as to why She mysteriously went into CARDIAC ARREST during this routine procedure.

All Surgery involves some RISK but.....

Prior to JAHI'S Surgery Hospital Officials, including the Surgeons,
were made aware of this Child's MEDICAL HISTORY.

So what REALLY happened on the Operating Table??

Is the CHILDREN'S Hospital in OAKLAND a Residency Training Hospital??

Is JAHI MCMATH a MEDICAID patient??

Where is U.S. Senator DIANNE FEINSTEIN and NANCY PELOSI??

Where is GLORIA ALLRED??

Why aren't they Speaking out on this situation???

Is the CHILDREN'S Hospital in OAKLAND a Huge Political DONOR to FEINSTEIN & PELOSI??

And where is JESSE JACKSON SR??

U. S. Rep JESSE JACKSON SR was with DR MARTIN LUTHER KING JR when he was Assassinated.

JESSE JACKSON SR used to be a Very Effective, Authentic CIVIL RIGHTS Leader.

However he Foolishly ceded this much needed Role (in BLACK communities),
to Opportunist AL SHARPTON, for POLITICS.......MONEY.......and FAME!

Once the LIFE SUPPORT plug is pulled on Dec 30, 2013, will Hospital Officials STEAL some of JAHI'S Vital Organs??

FYI:

Human ORGAN HARVESTING is Big Business for American Hospitals.

Who better to STEAL Human ORGANS from then Poor BLACK People??

JAHI'S parents will most likely File a WRONGFUL DEATH LAWSUIT against the CHILDREN'S Hospital in OAKLAND,

however.........

In CALIFORNIA there is a Cap on WRONGFUL DEATH LAWSUITS of Only $250,000!!

(CALIFORNIA TORT LAW)

If JAHI were My Child, I would SUE based on GROSS NEGLIGENCE and attempt to Charge the Hospital Officials with MURDER!!

If JAHI were My Child, I would also keep this Story in the MEDIA.

This is Not an "Unfortunate Tragedy"!!

It is a PRIMA FACIE case of GROSS NEGLIGENCE and CONTRIBUTORY NEGLIGENCE.

It is indeed MURDER and the Hospital doesn't care because JAHI MCMATH is a BLACK Child!

Please continue to PRAY for JAHI & Her Family but Immediate LEGAL ACTION is also needed!

UPDATE: JAHI MCMATH'S PARENTS CAN FILE A WRONGFUL DEATH LAWSUIT AGAINST THE HOSPITAL THAT KILLED HER.

WHERE IS JESSE JACKSON SR.......DIANNE FEINSTEIN......NANCY PELOSI, AND GLORIA ALLRED???

Tiger May Have Paid Rachel To Cancel Press Conference...Celeb Rumors

Alleged Woods mistress cancels press conference. A press conference for Rachel Uchitel, one of the women reportedly romantically connected with golfer Tiger Woods, was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances." Msnbc.com's Courtney Hazlett reports for WRC.

Are Tiger's Endorsements in trouble?

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Did Woods pay to quiet one alleged mistress?

“Unforeseen circumstances” was the only explanation given for a canceled news conference that was expected to shed light on the relationship between Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel, the 34-year-old woman first connected to the star golfer.

Sources say those “unforeseen circumstances” stem from a last-minute deal between Woods and Uchitel worth upwards of $1 million, in order to keep quiet about her real story. (Uchitel’s attorney, Gloria Allred, had no comment.)

Uchitel initially told the New York Post there was no affair nor any text messages between herself and Woods, and some believe that denial also had to do with money. Some sources say Uchitel was receiving financial help from Woods prior to the National Enquirer story that initially linked the two. (Allred did not respond to comment requests on this point.)

As for whether this will be the end of the Uchitel/Woods chapter, that remains to be seen. Other sources have come forward claiming to have text messages that Woods and Uchitel exchanged, and they’re shopping those messages around to several media outlets.

More info from the scene of the accident

The Florida Highway Patrol has released the complete interview with the neighbors who found Woods after his crash. A few interesting points of note from the 16-minute interview: according to Jarius Lavar Adams, who placed the call, Woods was on the ground, near the passenger side of his car, and was snoring at the time the call was placed.

Adams and his sister, Kimberly Harris, also said that the mothers of both Woods and his wife, Elin Nordegren, were both at the scene of the accident when Adams made the 911 call. Adams and Harris told the FHP that no one at the scene made any mention of pulling Tiger out of the car, or using a golf club to smash in windows. There were no clubs on the ground at the scene, they said, instead telling the FHP that there were two clubs placed in a nearby golf cart.

Tiger Woods Needs Our Prayers, Elin Too...Jesper Parnevik Has Regrets

Jesper Parnevik comments on Tiger's Sex Scandals. I'm praying for Tiger and his family.

<a href="http://msn.foxsports.com/video?vid=ad0b8904-76f5-4435-afea-d729a971e65e&amp;from=IV2_en-us_foxsports_articles" target="_new" title="Ouch! Golfer blasts Tiger Woods">Video: Ouch! Golfer blasts Tiger Woods</a>

I must admit that posting "dirt" this week on my blog about Tiger Woods Sexual Indiscretions has attracted a lot of visitors.

As a Blogger how could I possibly resist publishing such juicy gossip?

Well now I've begun to feel like a piece of dirt myself.

Tiger Woods was Golf's first Black Superstar and the first Professional Athlete who made a Billion dollars from Sports alone.

Did he mess up? Yes! However is he perfect? No!

As matter of fact I challenge anyone without sin to cast the first stone.

So who am I to judge him or anyone else for that matter.

Now when it comes to stuff like the White House Security Breach that's news NOT gossip but when it comes to Tiger's Private life, that's gossip.

Going forward I feel compelled to pray for Tiger, his wife Elin, their Children and Marriage.

Call me a prude if you may but if I were in Tiger's shoes, even though he screwed up big time, I'd certainly want someone to pray for me.

In the meantime Tiger needs to reflect NOT just on his career after all the guy's already made plenty of money but Tiger needs to reflect on himself as a Man, a Human Being, a Husband and a Father.

Tiger I'm praying that you bounce back.

I'm also praying when you do decide to return, your a much better person than when you left.

God Bless

Golfer who introduced Elin to Tiger tees off on Woods

A few days ago, we told you how in 2001, golfer Jesper Parnevik and his wife introduced their nanny, Elin Nordegren, to an up-and-coming young go-getter by the name of Tiger Woods. With all the revelations of late, seems Jesper isn't particularly happy with how Tiger has handled his marriage.

"I feel really sorry for Elin," he told The Golf Channel on Wednesday. "I would be especially sad about it since I'm kind of ... I really feel sorry for Elin, since me and my wife were at fault for hooking her up with him. We probably thought he was a better guy than he is. I would probably need to apologize to her and hope she uses a driver next time instead of the 3-iron."

Parnevik noted the privacy issue at the heart of the story, but understands that the rules are different for Tiger ... and not always in his favor: "It's a private thing, of course. But when you are the guy he is, the world's best athlete, you should think more before you do stuff. . . And maybe not just do it, like Nike says." (Click here for edited video.)

Parnevik clearly is personally wounded by Woods' "transgressions," so it's understandable that he'd tee off on Tiger. It's not likely we'll see other golfers criticize Woods openly; why would they? Most of Woods' fellow players, as noted here, have expressed support for Elin and her children, regret that Woods made poor choices, and hope that the Woods family will be able to get past this drama. Most have noted the microscope that all celebrities live under; left unsaid was the point that perhaps one ought to remember that microscope doesn't just focus on good behavior.

So far, Woods' sponsors have continued to express support, either explicitly or tacitly, and it's in that fashion that Woods will be able to continue to rehabilitate his image. No matter what happens next, it's likely that we won't be seeing ads that can be in any way mocked or misinterpreted, like Accenture's "The road to high performance isn't always paved" campaign.

Alleged Tiger mistress cancels press conference

With a public apology, Tiger Woods disclosed his "personal failings" and acknowledged he had "not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves."

He did not mention the allegations of an affair in Wednesday's statement, saying he would deal with "my behavior and personal failings" alone with his family.

His appeal for privacy likely won't close a shocking saga involving one of the biggest names in sport.

Rachel Uchitel, a New York nightclub hostess who has denied having an affair with Woods, had scheduled a Thursday news conference with her attorney in Los Angeles. But attorney Gloria Allred canceled that appearance Thursday morning, citing unforeseen circumstances. She earlier had planned to make a statement about Uchitel's relationship with Woods.

Last week, the National Enquirer published a story alleging the world's No. 1 golfer had been seeing Uchitel, and that they recently were together in Melbourne, where Woods won the Australian Masters.

Uchitel denied having an affair with Woods when contacted by The Associated Press.

Woods has faced intense media scrutiny after a car accident outside his home early last Friday morning and sordid allegations of affairs. In a 317-word statement on his Web site Wednesday, Woods acknowledged he had "let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart."

The statement followed an Us Weekly cover story of a Los Angeles waitress claiming she had a 31-month affair with the world's No. 1 golfer. Woods' words were posted three hours after the magazine released a voice mail — provided by the waitress, Jaimee Grubbs — that Woods left on her phone three days before he rammed his Cadillac Escalade into a fire hydrant and tree outside his Florida home.

"Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions," he said on his Web site. "I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves."

The investigation into Woods' accident ended Tuesday when the Florida Highway Patrol issued a $164 citation for careless driving. The inspection of his personal life is seemingly just beginning.

It is an odd turn for Woods, whose career as a golfer, a pitchman and perhaps the most recognized athlete in the world has been largely without blemish since he turned pro at age 20.

Three of his sponsors — Nike, Gatorade and EA Sports — expressed support or commitment to Woods. Gillette said it had no plans to change its marketing programs. AT&T declined comment.

In the most critical comment from a player, Jesper Parnevik said he owed an apology to Woods' wife, Elin, a former Swedish model who once worked as a nanny for the Parnevik family.

"We probably thought he was a better guy than he is," Parnevik told the Golf Channel from West Palm Beach, Fla., where he is in the final stage of PGA Tour qualifying.

Windermere police said Woods' wife told them she smashed out the back windows of his SUV with a golf club to help get him out of the vehicle after the crash.

"I would probably need to apologize to her and hope she uses a driver next time instead of a 3-iron," Parnevik said, adding that he has not spoken to Woods since the accident.

"It's a private thing, of course," the Swede said. "But when you are the guy he is — the world's best athlete — you should think more before you do stuff ... and maybe not 'just do it,' like Nike says."

But other professional athletes had sympathy for Woods.

Jason Taylor walked into the Miami Dolphins' locker room and saw ESPN running a tease about Woods. He reached up and turned off the TV. "Nobody's damned business," Taylor said.

Minnesota Vikings kicker Ryan Longwell lives in the same Isleworth gated community as Woods outside Orlando, Fla., and said it was "crazy" in the neighborhood. He said his wife told him paparazzi were everywhere and helicopters hovered overhead.

"My wife is a blonde and wears sunglasses in Florida, so every time she comes out of the gate, they're snapping pictures," Longwell said. "It's a different thing than we've ever faced down there. It's certainly a new wrinkle to it.

Most players at the Chevron World Challenge — hosted by Woods, who withdrew earlier this week — offered him support, even as they were curious how he crashed his car in the middle of the night.

"He's trying to make it as private as he can, and it's just hard, because everybody is trying to get a piece of information on really what happened," said Steve Stricker, who regularly exchanges text messages with Woods, but hasn't heard from him since the accident.

"I think his image is going to take a bit of a shot," Stricker said. "I think I'd like to see him come on TV and just pour it out a little bit and show what's happened. I don't know if that will ever happen."

In its final report released Wednesday, the Florida Highway Patrol said Woods caused $3,200 in property damage, was not wearing a seat belt and was traveling 30 mph in a 25 mph zone.

The six-page report — which did not include statements from Woods, his wife or any witnesses — said Woods' SUV rubbed up against bushes, crossed over a curb, onto a grass median and into a row of hedges before striking the fire hydrant and a tree. Damage to his Cadillac Escalade was estimated at $8,000.

An audio recording of an interview the FHP conducted with Woods' neighbors was obtained Thursday by The Associated Press through a public records request. Troopers interviewed Jarius Adams, who called 911, and his sister, Kimberly Harris.

Harris told troopers that Woods' mother, Kultida, and mother-in-law, Barbro Holmberg, were at the scene. The AP could not independently confirm whether the two women were present.

"Did they ever talk to anybody at the scene that showed up, any emergency workers or anything?" a trooper asked Harris.

"The cops came, the Windermere cops came first, then the security guards came," Harris said. "And then it appears Mr. Woods' mom, and Tiger's wife's mom came out after the fact. I don't know if they heard the commotion, I don't if she, his wife, left and came back. But they walked across the grass and were outside as well."

Far more damaging to Woods than the crash has been the blow to his image from the Us Weekly cover story.

Grubbs told the magazine she met Woods at a Las Vegas nightclub the week after the 2007 Masters — two months before Woods' wife gave birth to their first child.

In the voice mail released by the magazine, a man says to Grubbs:

"Hey, it's, uh, it's Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Um, can you please, uh, take your name off your phone. My wife went through my phone. And, uh, may be calling you. If you can, please take your name off that and, um, and what do you call it just have it as a number on the voice mail, just have it as your telephone number. That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."

The Associated Press could not confirm Woods was the caller.

The Woods scandal comes at a crucial time for the PGA Tour, which is talking to a dozen companies about tournament sponsorship deals that expire after 2010. The tour also is to begin negotiations next year for a new TV contract.

Neal Pilson, former CBS Sports president who runs his own consulting business, did not think it would affect the next deal.

"We're seeing this in the glare of the day, these incredible revelations," Pilson said. "At some point, he'll play golf and he'll move on. At some point, this will become more embarrassing to the media than Tiger."

TV ratings typically double when Woods is contention, and he has begun his season every year since 2006 at Torrey Pines in San Diego, which starts Jan. 28.

"Ratings will be good for golf. Aren't you going to be watching?" Pilson said. "The ratings for Tiger are going to be higher than they might be ordinarily. I don't think there will be any negative fallout for golf. This is a Tiger Woods story. He happens to be a golfer, but he's a worldwide personality."

"Tiger Gate" Continues: Rachel Uchitel's Lawyer (Gloria Allred) To Address Media

HTV cameras caught up with Rachel Uchitel as she arrived at LAX airport over the weekend meeting with Famous Attorney Gloria Allred. Uchitel is refuting claims that she had an affair with Tiger Woods after the National Enquirer labeled her the other woman.

Rachel Uchitel's Lawyer to Address Tiger Woods "Relationship"

What will Gloria Allred say?

The famed celebrity lawyer will speak at a news conference in Los Angeles Thursday with her newest client Rachel Uchitel -- who's not expected to speak at the event -- at her side.

Despite the National Enquirer's reports of an affair with Tiger Woods, Uchitel, 34, denied the relationship to Usmagazine.com.

According to a brief announcement from the law firm, Allred "will make a statement about Ms. Uchitel's relationship with Tiger Woods."

Radaronline.com speculates that Uchitel, via Allred, will admit to an affair with the married golfer, 33.

In an interview with the New York Post, the NYC club manager quipped that drug abusing "hookers" concocted the story of her affair and sold it to the Enquirer. "I told the [National] Enquirer and Star that it wasn't true. I told them not only did I have information to disprove the story, but I offered to take a lie-detector test."

When Uchitel spoke to Usmagazine.com she adamantly insisted "the things that were said from the source in the Enquirer are, in fact, not true. The fact that [the source] took the polygraph is a lie in and of itself. The girl's lying."

She continued: "I have not had an affair with him. I understand that there's rumors all over because everybody's talking about it. But I'm telling you, people say rumors about me all the time. People will say a ton of things about me."

Rachel Uchitel: Woman Who Denied Tiger Woods Affair Finally Admits It! Press Conference

Rachel Uchitel, the first woman identified woman as romantically linked to Tiger Woods, is now admitting to an affair with the golfing great, after adamantly denying it, RadarOnline.com is reporting exclusively. Her attorney Gloria Allred has scheduled a press conference for Thursday, saying only in a press release that "at the news conference Ms. Allred will make a statement about Ms. Uchitel’s relationship with Tiger Woods.

Ms. Uchitel will be present at the news conference but will not speak."

The National Enquirer broke the story of Uchitel's affair with Tiger and repeatedly pointed out contradictions in her subsequent loud public denials. Now Uchitel has admitted to the affair, sources tell RadarOnline.com

RadarOnline.com reported exclusively on Wednesday that Tiger booked and paid for Rachel's recent travel to Australia, where they were together. The National Enquirer revealed the affair and the trip and Uchitel is now set to talk about it and expected to provide many details and provide proof of the relationship.

(National Enquirer) WOMAN AT CENTER OF TIGER WOODS CHEATING SCANDAL EXPOSED!!

Tiger Woods' shocking car crash has put the world's spotlight on Rachel Uchitel -- the New York City party girl who has been caught up in a cheating scandal with the multimillionaire golf superstar, in a story reported exclusively by the NATIONAL ENQUIRER in its new issue.

The ENQUIRER's blockbuster cover story was verified with polygraphs, multiple sources and an on-the-record exclusive interview with one of Rachel's friends.

And now The ENQUIRER has caught Rachel in a slew of contradictions during the past 24 hours as she's been questioned by other media about her relationship with Tiger.

The ENQUIRER is reporting exclusively in its print edition that the 34-year-old brunette, who has a reputation for dating married celebrities, has been telling friends about a jet-set liaison with 33-year-old Tiger that began in June.

Multiple sources, who passed polygraph tests, say Rachel told them that she and Tiger also stay in touch during his frequent travels through phone calls and "sexting," sending each other racy text messages on their cell phones.

One close friend of Rachel's -- Ashley Samson -- told The ENQUIRER: "Rachel told me, 'I'm having an affair with Tiger Woods. We're in love!'"

And while Rachel emphatically says she's no home wrecker, she recently had a disastrous affair with David Boreanaz, the star of Bones. The affair even continued while his wife was pregnant and was reported exclusively by Star magazine.

So despite Rachel's protestations, the ENQUIRER amassed plenty of evidence for its story and is now releasing part of it.

Rachel, an events planner and former director of VIP operations at the NYC nightclub Grffin, has attempted to distance herself from the growing scandal in several comments made to media in the last 24 hours, including to the Associated Press, New York Post and New York Daily News.

But The ENQUIRER can show how Rachel's denials are full of contradictions!

Rachel, who denies an affair with Tiger, told one media outlet that she hardly knows Ashley, who is quoted on-the-record in our story. Rachel said she wasn't even sure of the woman's last name.

However, we can reveal that Rachel is such a close friend of Ashley's that she recently invited Ashley to join her and some other pals on a trip to Spain.

AND in an ENQUIRER web exclusive, we're publishing a photo showing Rachel partying with her friend Ashley on that recent trip to Spain. (SEE ABOVE: Ashley is the blonde, Rachel is the brunette)

Rachel, who confesses that she does know Tiger, also outrageously says she's never even texted Tiger.

But Ashley told The ENQUIRER: "Rachel said she first met Tiger in May at a New York club where she was working, and gave him her number. In June she told me, 'Tiger Woods is blowing up my cell phone with messages!'

And another source -- who passed a polygraph test -- told The ENQUIRER: "They were constantly 'sexting.' Tiger was asking things like, 'What are you wearing? What do you want to do to me? What do you want me to do to you?'

"I said, 'Rachel, he's married,' and she said, 'Big (bleeping) deal! It's Tiger Woods! I don't care about his wife! We're in love.'

"Her nickname for Tiger is 'Bear.' She lists his cell phone number under 'Bear' in her contacts.'"

Rachel has even been caught in outright lies in specific comment responses to The ENQUIRER.

Rachel traveled to Australia to meet with Tiger while he played earlier this month in the Australian Masters, both sources said. BUT Rachel initially told us she traveled there with a boyfriend.

In a later conversation, however, she admitted to The ENQUIRER she had lied about going to Australia with a boyfriend. She said she was in the country "for business."

She also said she was not in Tiger's hotel. But an Enquirer reporter eye witnessed her IN the hotel.

She then said she did not go to the floor of the hotel where Tiger was staying.

BUT an ENQUIRER reporter in Melbourne watched as Rachel checked in to the posh Crown Towers hotel, and went up to the 35th floor, which houses the hotel's ritzy VIP Suite. Tiger was staying in the same hotel, according to local press reports.

Rachel also told The ENQUIRER "I don't want to be with a married man." But Rachel cheated with Bones star David Boreanaz during his wife Jaime's recent pregnancy, according to Star magazine.

But she ended the relationship in August after Boreanaz called her from the maternity ward while his wife gave birth.

In our print story, Tiger's attorney vehemently denied an affair between Tiger and Rachel but said the golfer may have been at the same nightclub as Rachel at some point.

Rachel also told The ENQUIRER she met Tiger on two other occasions.

So while Rachel responds to reporters questions with emphatic denials and outrage, exclaiming she would never want to be the other woman, the ENQUIRER's new story, ON SALE NOW provides LOTS of evidence to the contrary.

And, of course, there are still facts about Rachel that the ENQUIRER has yet to release…so stay tuned.
