***** Everything to know about the National School Walkout on March 14

Students, teachers, parents and administrators across the country are invited to take part in a National School Walkout in a call on Congress to pass tighter gun control laws.

The ENOUGH National School Walkout on March 14 is exactly one month after the mass shooting at a Florida high school that killed 17 people.

The event will be at 10 a.m. across every time zone and last 17 minutes -- one minute for each of the victims gunned down in the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

The walkout is organized by young people working with Women’s March Youth Empower.

Women’s March Youth Coordinator Tabitha St. Bernard Jacobs, one of the few adults helping with the youth-led movement, told ABC News that while the walkout was sparked by the Florida school shooting, the event is about calling out gun violence.

St. Bernard Jacobs said it is a way to shed light on the type of gun violence that exists not just in schools, but everyday gun violence, like shootings that impact minority communities or devastate cities like Chicago, Illinois.

Students across the country have said they will join, as well as groups from schools as far as Ireland, Switzerland and Israel.

How participants spend the 17 minutes of the walkout is up to them. Some people are doing a lie-in, while others are holding rallies, St. Bernard Jacobs said.

This isn't a protest against schools, but a way to encourage school administrators to help students "amplify their voices," she said.

She went on to add, "Some schools are looking to this as an opportunity to really educate their young people about what it means in this moment to be engaged."

Mixed emotions Stoneman Douglas Students return to class: 'School shouldn’t be a war zone'.

The March 14 event is one of many student walkouts erupting throughout the U.S. as a new generation of youth advocates lead a fierce push for gun reform. While many school districts are supportive of the protests, some schools have reportedly threatened to punish students participating in walkouts.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) said schools can punish students for missing class for walkouts, but the punishment should only be because students are missing school -- it cannot be a harsher punishment because the students participated in a protest.

Dozens of colleges and universities have said they won't penalize applicants who are peaceful student protesters. Brown University, for example, posted on Twitter, "Applicants to Brown: Expect a socially conscious, intellectually independent campus where freedom of expression is fundamentally important. You can be assured that peaceful, responsible protests against gun violence will not negatively impact decisions on admission to Brown."

"That's very encouraging," St. Bernard Jacobs said of the schools supporting students' decisions to protest gun violence. "This is a moment for youth to find their voice."

GUN CONTROL LEGISLATION TALKS RESURFACE AFTER ORLANDO MASS SHOOTING

GUN CONTROL LEGISLATION TALKS RESURFACE AFTER ORLANDO MASS SHOOTING:

ATLANTA, CHICAGO & ORLANDO NEED GUN CONTROL  & ARMED WEAPON LOCKDOWN IMMEDIATELY.

Sources:  CBS News, France24 English, YouTube

Cries for Federal Gun Control legislation have quickly resurfaced after the recent mass shooting event in Orlando, Florida at a Gay nightclub.

Of course whenever there is talk of Federal Gun Control legislation being enacted, many people go crazy about protecting their 2nd amendment rights.

If Congress and Pres Obama are successful in passing Gun Control legislation only Law Enforcement Authorities, Members of the US Military, and perhaps very Wealthy citizens will be legally allowed to possess and fire Armed Weapons.

Guns don't kill people.

People kill people.

However there is no guarantee that even if someone does in fact pass a Criminal and Mental Health Background Check, they will use an Armed Weapon RESPONSIBLY.

Thus the passage of Federal Gun Control legislation should be discussed more intensely.

Especially in wake of the recent Orlando Mass Shooting event.

I don't know where I currently stand on the issue of enacting Federal Gun Control legislation but it is imperative that Gun Control/ Armed Weapon Lockdown be enforced immediately in the cities of Atlanta, Chicago and Orlando.

I'm just saying.

Just days after the massacre in an Orlando nightclub left 49 people dead and 53 wounded, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson on Tuesday said that gun control is now a critical element of protecting the U.S. homeland and keeping Americans safe.
"We have to face the fact that meaningful gun control has to be a part of homeland security," Johnson said in an interview on "CBS This Morning." "We need to do something to minimize the opportunity for terrorists to get a gun in this country."
On the issue of people on the no-fly list and various other lists being able to purchase a weapon in the U.S., Johnson said, "I believe that that's something that has to be addressed."
Johnson said that President Obama is "frustrated" with the lack of action on preventing gun violence, but he's still "determined."

"I thought frankly after Sandy Hook where you have schoolchildren murdered in a classroom that maybe finally this will be the tipping point and we were not able to move the needle in Congress, unfortunately," Johnson said.
Efforts to make gun laws stricter have failed in Congress over the last decade. The assault weapons ban, for example, expired in 2004 and lawmakers have not renewed that legislation. Democrats on Capitol Hill have grown increasingly frustrated and on Monday evening, shouted down Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, after a moment of silence, demanding to know why the House isn't considering gun control legislation.
"At this stage in the investigation, we know of no accomplices," said Johnson, who reiterated that the U.S. intelligence community believes it was not a terrorist-directed attack, but rather terrorist-inspired.
In order to prevent homegrown terrorist attacks in the future, Johnson said it will require the government and the public to deepen their ties to U.S.-Muslim communities.
"We're going to continue to build bridges to American-Muslim communities, not vilify them and drive them into the corners and shadows," Johnson said.
FBI Director James Comey said Monday that the agency had interviewed the shooter three times between 2013 and 2014 and he was "thoroughly investigated," but the inquiries were eventually closed. The attack is now raising questions about whether the FBI made any mistakes or did anything wrong in their investigations.
"I have a lot of confidence in the FBI," Johnson said on CBS.

President Obama will deliver his final State of the Union address Tuesday at 9 p.m. and is expected to focus on the future, with the 2016 presidential election at stake later this year.

The president previewed the address in a video last week and said he wants his speech to highlight not only the progress the U.S. has made and what he wants to accomplish in his final year, but "what we all need to do together in the years to come."

The White House has invited a number of people to sit in the box with First Lady Michelle Obama during the address, and one seat has been reserved and will be left vacant to represent "victims of gun violence who no longer have a voice."

Mr. Obama spent all of last week highlighting his new set of executive actions on gun violence.

Other White House guests include Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy (D); the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella; Jim Obergefell, the lead plaintiff in the landmark Supreme Court same-sex marriage case;

Spencer Stone, one of the three Americans who thwarted a potential terrorist attack on a Paris-bound train in August; one of the partners of a San Bernardino terrorist attack victim; and a Syrian refugee who moved to the U.S. with his children in December.

The speech, which will be the first with Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, as speaker, will come just weeks before the 2016 primary season kicks off in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Mr. Obama wants to ensure that a Democrat succeeds him, but he also is focused on plans he'd like to fulfill in his final year in office.

The president, for example, is intent on delivering a plan to Congress that would permanently close the Guantanamo Bay prison.

He has challenged Congress to consider a new war authorization against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Criminal justice reform and getting approval for the Trans-Pacific Partnership are also among Mr. Obama's final priorities.

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) is scheduled to deliver the Republican response after the address.

** Who attends: Vice President Joe Biden will sit behind the president, next to Speaker Ryan. Members of the House and Senate will file into the House chamber for the speech.

Some of the 2016 GOP presidential candidates will be there. Sens. Marco Rubio and Rand Paul will attend, but Ted Cruz is skipping it in favor of his own campaign event in New Hampshire.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will be delivering his state of the state address on Tuesday.

A number of Supreme Court justices usually show up, as well as members of the president's cabinet.

There's always a "designated survivor," who is a member of the cabinet designated to be at an undisclosed location when he delivers the speech, in case something happens to the president, vice president and speaker.

Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx was the designated survivor last year.

Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis who spent five days in jail defying a court order to license same-sex marriages will be in the chamber, although no one has revealed which lawmaker invited her.

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, on Tuesday said he won't be there, and further, he has reserved an empty seat in the House chamber's gallery during the State of the Union to represent "the lives of more than 55 million aborted babies."

NIKKI HALEY TO DELIVER GOP RESPONSE TO OBAMA'S 2016 SOTU ADDRESS (CONFEDERATE FLAG)

NIKKI HALEY TO DELIVER GOP RESPONSE TO OBAMA'S 2016 SOTU ADDRESS (CONFEDERATE FLAG):

GOV HALEY IS A GREAT VP PICK; WOULD ATTRACT MANY WOMEN VOTERS IN NOV 2016.

South Carolina's first legally elected Woman Governor NIKKI HALEY, has been selected to deliver the GOP's response to Pres OBAMA's 2016 State of the Union Address.

Along with receiving Kudos for demanding the CONFEDERATE FLAG be removed from South Carolina's state Capitol, there are several legitimate reasons why NIKKI HALEY would be a Perfect choice as Vice-President pick on the 2016 GOP ticket.

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is a "natural" and will deliver a "great" response to the State of the Union, House Speaker Paul Ryan said Monday.

Haley will respond to President Barack Obama's speech for the Republican Party on Tuesday, an honor bestowed on rising stars in the GOP.

The high-profile event has been both a launching pad for careers and an opportunity for embarrassment, depending on how the politician performs.

But the recently minted House speaker told Jake Tapper on CNN's "The Lead" that he helped pick Haley because he believes the Indian-American governor, who is rumored as a contender for the vice presidential nominee, will knock it out of the park.

"I'm really excited about this," Ryan said. "If you want to hear an inclusive leader who's visionary, who's got a path for the future, who's brought people together, who's unified, it's Nikki Haley."

Ryan himself gave the response in 2011, a year before he was tapped to be the running mate of Mitt Romney in an unsuccessful bid to take the White House.

"Believe me, I understand the stakes can be high for a person doing this speech," Ryan said. "I think she's a natural."

He also divulged some of the advice he gave Haley, big and small.

"Put a cough drop in the corner of your mouth, it keeps you salivating so you don't go thirsty," Ryan said. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio famously had to awkwardly reach for water during his response in 2013.

But in seriousness, Ryan said he just told her to be herself.

PREVIOUS GOP STATE OF THE UNION RESPONSES:

2009: Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (1)
2010: Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell
2011: U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin
2012: Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels
2013: U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida
2014: U.S. Rep Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington
2015: U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa

(1) Jindal’s response came after President Barack Obama’s first speech to a joint session of Congress.

OBAMA'S TEARFUL GUN CONTROL LAWS COMPLETES HIS LEGACY, WON'T REDUCE DEATHS (CHICAGO)

OBAMA'S TEARFUL GUN CONTROL LAWS COMPLETES HIS LEGACY, WON'T REDUCE DEATHS:

MORE UNEMPLOYED, FRUSTRATED BLACK MEN WILL BE INCARCERATED OR THROWN INTO MENTAL INSTITUTIONS.

Tuesday, January 5, 2016 while delivering a Tearful Press Conference, Pres OBAMA announced his enactment of new GUN CONTROL laws in the United States via Fiat i.e., Executive Action.

During his new Gun Control laws press conference, Pres OBAMA mentioned several Communities adversely impacted by Gun Violence: Aurora, Colorado.......Sandy Hook, Connecticut......San Bernandino, California and CHICAGO.
***By the way Pres OBAMA only mentioned CHICAGO for one second.
Under OBAMA'S Administration thousands of BLACK Boys & Men in CHICAGO have died via Gun Violence yet he barely mentions CHICAGO.

OBAMA mentioned three Initiatives for his new Gun Control laws.

1). To stop Straw Buyers and Straw Sellers from putting Guns into the hands of Customers who can't pass a Background Check.
2). To ensure everyone who purchases a Gun is in fact subject to a Background Check and can clear a Background Check.
3). To help people who are MENTALLY ILL.

Now let's analyze these Initiatives.

Straw Buyers & Straw Sellers will continue to make Money selling Guns. Moving forward they will just have to do it completely LEGAL.

WHITE People and Middle Eastern citizens with Criminal Records and FELONIES will continue to purchase Guns LEGALLY just as they did before OBAMA enacted new Gun Control laws.

Citizens with NO Civilian Criminal Record and NO apparent signs of MENTAL INSTABILITY/ MENTAL ILLNESS but are actually Psychological walking time bombs, will continue to LEGALLY purchase Guns and KILL innocent people once their Psychological inner time bombs explode.

I perceive MORE Unemployed, Frustrated BLACK Men some of them with prior Criminal Records, will be thrown into Mental Health Institutions and Prisons.

Thus I don't quite see how Pres OBAMA'S new Gun Control laws will help curb Gun Violence in the United States.
Especially in WHITE Communities.

However I do see the number of Unemployed, Frustrated BLACK Men being thrown into Prisons and Mental Institutions increasing.

Dear GOD We Really Need To PRAY & VOTE In November 2016!

For a man who's rarely rattled, this was a powerful display of emotion.

President Barack Obama has been recorded crying only a handful of times while in office, and this may very well have been the most poignant.

The president took executive action on gun reform Tuesday in a move that he seemed to feel was long overdue.

When discussing the deaths of shooting victims – particularly the first-graders murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012 – the president was overcome with emotion.

"Our unalienable right to life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness – those rights were stripped from college students in Blacksburg and Santa Barbara, and from high schoolers at Columbine, and from first-graders in Newtown. First-graders," he said, pausing and tearing up.

"Every time I think about those kids it gets me mad.
And, by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day."

OBAMA'S TERRORISM SPEECH OFFERED NO STRATEGY FOR ELIMINATING ISIL, PUSHING GUN CONTROL

#Obama

OBAMA'S TERRORISM SPEECH OFFERED NO STRATEGY FOR ELIMINATING ISIL, PUSHING GUN CONTROL:

OBAMA CHIDES AMERICA FOR CALLING OUT RADICALIZED ISLAMISTS.

~ Obama on San Bernardino: 'This Was an Act of Terrorism'
The President addressed the mass shooting in a televised speech from the Oval Office on Sunday.

President Obama has called a mass shooting in California this week an “act of terrorism.”

“This was an act of terrorism designed to kill innocent people,” the president said Sunday of the rampage that claimed 14 lives and wounded 21 others.

He spoke from a lectern in the Oval Office, flanked by framed photographs of his wife and daughters on the desk behind him.

Obama said that investigators do not believe the killers “were directed by a terrorist organization overseas or that they were part of a broader conspiracy here at home.”

“But it is clear that the two of them had gone down the dark path of radicalization, embracing a perverted interpretation of Islam that calls for war against America and the West,” he said.

This week, a husband and wife killed 14 people and wounded 21 in a shooting rampage at a meeting of the county health department at a center in San Bernardino.

The killers, Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, died in a shootout with police hours later.

Farook worked as a health inspector at the department himself, and most of the victims were his coworkers, one of whom had shared a cubicle with Farook.

On the morning of the shooting, Malik pledged allegiance to the Islamic State in a Facebook post. Malik, a native of Pakistan, came to the United States last year to marry Farook, who was born in Illinois.

Both were devout Muslims. Farook’s coworkers said he rarely talked about his faith; Malik’s relatives in Pakistan say she grew more religious in recent years.

“As groups like ISIL grew stronger amidst the chaos of war in Iraq and Syria and as the Internet erases the distance between countries, we see growing efforts by terrorists to poison the minds of people,” Obama said Sunday.

The attack appeared to have been carefully orchestrated.

Farook and Malik wore masks and military-style vests and used assault rifles and handguns—some they had purchased legally, others they had reportedly gotten from someone else.

Investigators discovered the couple had turned part of their home into weapons stockpile.

They found thousands of rounds of ammunition, 12 completed pipe bombs, and materials to make more at their rented apartment in Redlands, less than a 15-minute drive from where the shooting occurred. Farook and Malik had smashed cellphones and deleted emails in an attempt to conceal their planning.

The FBI is investigating the attack as terrorism. The agency’s director, James Comey, said Friday the attack shows “indications of radicalization by the killers, and of potential inspiration by foreign terrorist organizations.”

Obama’s primetime speech was intended to reassure a public on edge in the wake of the Paris attacks last month, which were carried out by the Islamic State.

“I know that after so much war, many Americans are asking whether we are confronted by a cancer that has no immediate cure,” Obama said. “Well, here’s what I want you to know. The threat from terrorism is real, but we will overcome it.”

Obama outlined his current strategy for fighting the Islamic State, as he has done repeatedly in recent months: Launching airstrikes against targets in Iraq and Syria and helping Syrian and Iraqi Kurdish fighters on the ground.

He warned, as he has also done repeatedly in recent months, against sending Americans into combat, saying “we should not be drawn once more into a long and costly ground war in Iraq or Syria.”

The Defense Department States this month announced it would send special-operations troops to Iraq to aid local fighters, marking a public escalation in the Obama administration’s response to the terrorist group.

In the days after the San Bernardino shooting, the story developed into a wider conversation about terrorism, gun control, and even journalistic ethics.

California state lawmakers are consideringnew gun legislation.

Some Democratic members of Congress criticized their Republican counterparts for offering prayers in the aftermath of the mass shooting, and not legislative proposals for how to stop the next one.

The New York Timesran an editorial on its front page on Saturday for the first time since 1920, calling for greater regulation of guns.

Each time one of these MASS SHOOTING events occur, the Mainstream Media reports it which of course Diverts the attention of American citizens away from Capitol Hill and Paralyzes American citizens with FEAR.

We are being BAMBOOZLED by the Govt and the MEDIA!

~ San Bernardino shooting: Several dead; police seek 1 to 3 suspects

The hunt for one to three suspects was taking place near a San Bernardino, California, center for people with developmental disabilities, where as many as 20 people were shot Wednesday, authorities said.

SWAT teams and the bomb squad were working to clear the buildings where the shootings took place.

• "There are multiple casualties and confirmed fatalities," San Bernardino Police spokeswoman Sgt. Vicki Cervantes told reporters.

• The shootings were in the conference center at the Inland Regional Center, the center's executive director, Lavinia Johnson, told CNN. She believes the county's Department of Public Health was having a holiday party there.
Johnson said the fire alarm went off in her building, and people began to evacuate but then the order came to stay in place. Later police came and took people out of their offices.

• Witnesses told police they saw three men with long guns, a law enforcement source told CNN. The source said the suspects got into a black SUV and drove away.

• The three suspects are believed to be armed with AK-47-type weapons, a local law enforcement official told CNN.

• President Barack Obama restated his call for more gun control reforms in the wake of the mass shooting. Speaking to CBS News, Obama said Congress should act in a bipartisan manner to close loopholes, including one that allows people on the TSA no-fly list to legally purchase firearms

• Four adults have been transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center, and the hospital is expecting three more patients, hospital spokeswoman Briana Pastorino said.
She did not describe the nature of the patients' wounds. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center has received eight patients, an employee who didn't want to be named told CNN.

• The bomb squad found a suspicious package on the second floor of a building and determined it is "not normal," the source said. They are going to handle it with a robot, the source added.

• A woman who works at a building where the shootings occurred texted her father: "Shooting at my work. People shot." The father told CNN affiliate KABC his daughter told him 10 to 20 people were shot.
