Hackney Predicts Huge Dem Victories In 2010, 2012...He's Delusional

Ha, Ha!

Looks like North Carolina's highest ranking member of the House Joe Hackney (Dem) is having a fit of Delusion if he thinks Dems are going to sweep 2010, 2012 Elections.

Hasn't he read all the headlines lately about high levels of Political/Public Corruption being committed by Democrats or news referring to our nation's disturbingly high Unemployment rate? (The USA is basically in a Depression.)

The Democrat's message of "HOPE" has turned to NOPE!

Does Hackney really think North Carolina Voters will be stupid enough to keep allowing the same Corrupt State Party to remain in control, especially if its apparent NC Democrat Leaders are NOT trying to stop Corruption?

Senator Hackney sir Denial is NOT a river in Egypt.

Didn't you hear about the recent G.O.P. victories in VA and NJ?

Unless North Carolina Democrats (including Gov. Bev Perdue) chooses to stop all this Political and Public Corruption (coming from Democrats), the G.O.P. will have a grand old time in 2010, 2012.

The Republican Party has tasted blood!

They are hot on the trail in their quest to attract voters for future elections.

This includes White Voters, Independent Voters, Black Voters, Hispanic Voters, Young Voters, Middle Class, Low Income and Senior Citizen Voters.

That Straight Ticket Voting stuff has played out!

Many of us realized we've been duped and we're tired of the NC Democratic Party doing nothing about Political/Public Corruption, Jobs, Fair Taxation Laws, Fair Crime Laws, State Health and Mental Health Care Reform, Reforming DSS, Education, and Discrimination (Racial, Gender, Age & Workplace).

If NC Democrat Leaders keep sticking their heads in the sands instead of tackling those (serious) issues listed above, when they do decide to come up for air it will be too late.

And oh by the way....

In case you haven't thought about it, continuing to hang Middle Class, Low Income and Senior Citizen Voters out to dry is most definitely NOT going to score NC Dems any brownie points in 2010, 2012.

Virginia has some of the lowest Sales Taxes nationwide, thus their Unemployment rate isn't as high as North Carolina's. Perhaps NC needs to take a hint.

Especially Charlotte-Mecklenburg county which has the HIGHEST Sales Taxes/ Property Taxes in North Carolina!

Think about it.

Here's a word to North Carolina's "Wise" Democrat Political Leaders:

You may NOT care much about Low Income, Black Voters, Hispanic Voters, Middle Class or Senior Citizen voters now but you most certainly WILL come 2010, 2012.

So go ahead and throw us under the bus now, we'll remember you in 2010 and 2012.

NC Senator Joe Hackney predicts Democratic gains in 2010



These are headlines no Democratic candidate wants to see:

A former governor under Federal Investigation for corruption, a top Senate Democrat accused of insider trading, a current governor with approval ratings in the 40s and a big tax increase to cope with the biggest budget shortfall in memory, Jim Morrill of The Charlotte Observer reports.

"Of course it's worrisome," N.C. House Speaker Joe Hackney said Tuesday. "You'd rather not have that environment. But people aren't going to blame Rep. (Tricia) Cotham for Mike Easley's problems."

Hackney, who met with new Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx Tuesday afternoon, was also scheduled to appear at a fundraiser for Cotham, a Charlotte Democrat. Hackney has been appearing at events for other Democrats throughout the state. Despite the bad run of publicity for some members of his party, Hackney, an Orange County Democrat, doesn't expect to see big losses at the polls, at least for the state House.

"There are some pick-up opportunities," he said, "And we really think we'll be able to pick up some seats on the House side."

Good Day For Republicans! Super Tuesday...Democrats & Independents Are Fed Up Too!

GOP unity, support from independents key today


We think tonight will be very good for Republicans.

Two of the main reasons for that are superior party unity and pretty overwhelming support from independents.

In NY-23 despite the presence more or less of two Republican candidates on the ballot, Doug Hoffman is winning 71% of the GOP vote to Bill Owens' 67% of the Democratic vote. Hoffman leads Owens 52-30 with independents.

In New Jersey Chris Christie is getting 82% of the Republican vote while Jon Corzine is at 72% of the Democratic vote. Christie leads 52-29 with independents.

In Maine 77% of Republicans support the overturn of gay marriage while 71% of Democrats are opposed to it. Independents say they'll vote for it by a 52-46 margin.

In Virginia 94% of Republicans are for Bob McDonnell to 87% of Democrats for Creigh Deeds. McDonnell is up 63-33 with independents.

In Charlotte 89% of Republicans intend to vote for John Lassiter to 81% of Democrats for Anthony Foxx. Lassiter leads 51-40 with independents.

From the high levels of party unity it's clear that Republicans voters see the path back to power will require staying on the same page. And whether it's because the Democrats have bad candidates or they're unhappy with President Obama, independents are giving the GOP very high levels of support. It should be the best Republican election night since George W. Bush got reelected.

Some G.O.P. Candidates Spurn Palin's Help...Wary Of Negative Stigmas

NEW YORK — Sarah Palin's decision to step down as Alaska governor was driven in part by her wish to help Republican candidates across the country, associates say.

But in New Jersey and Virginia, both of which have competitive governors' races this year, the prospect of a visit from the party's 2008 vice presidential nominee has so far drawn a muted response from the GOP contenders in both states.

In Virginia, a historically conservative state where Obama became the first Democratic presidential candidate since 1964 to win, Republican Bob McDonnell said Tuesday his campaign had had conversations with the Palin camp but stopped short of saying whether he wanted her help.

In an interview with ABCNews.com, McDonnell called Palin a "good spokesman" and said he would welcome anyone who wanted to come to Virginia on his behalf. McDonnell, a former state attorney general, is in a tight race with Democrat Creigh Deeds to succeed outgoing Gov. Tim Kaine, a moderate who now chairs the Democratic National Committee.

But McDonnell also predicted the contest would not be affected by any high-profile endorsements on either side and professed confusion about Palin's abrupt decision to leave office with 18 months left in her term.

"I don't know how this recent announcement _ which I still don't fully understand, I only know what I've read in the media _ how that fully plays out and whether she's going to prefer a private life or whether she still wants to stay actively involved," McDonnell said.

In New Jersey, where President Barack Obama trounced the McCain-Palin ticket by 15 percentage points last November, state Republican Chairman Jay Webber said he'd had no contact with Palin or her team about a campaign visit on behalf of GOP candidate Chris Christie.

Several statewide polls have shown Christie, a former U.S. attorney, leading Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine, who is running for re-election.

"We don't have any plans on having her in," Webber said. "We're busy working to get Chris Christie elected and telling people about the failed record of Gov. Corzine."

The Virginia and New Jersey races are the only major statewide electoral contests in 2009, and strategists for both parties are studying them for clues as to whether the Republican Party can rebound from its devastating losses in the 2006 and 2008 elections.

Obama already has written a fundraising e-mail for Deeds in Virginia and will campaign with Corzine in New Jersey next week.

With few nationally recognized stars of their own, Republicans are trying to assess the impact _ both positive and negative _ Palin might have in both governors' races.

After Palin announced she would give up the governorship in Alaska, Nick Ayers, director of the Republican Governors Association, and Michael Steele, chairman of the Republican National Committee, both indicated she was eager to begin campaigning for GOP candidates.

"She is an important and galvanizing voice in the Republican Party. I believe she will be very helpful to the party this year as we wage critical campaigns in Virginia and New Jersey," Steele said.

To be sure, Palin has shown strength as a campaign surrogate.

Last fall, in a runoff election between Georgia GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss and Democratic challenger Jim Martin, Palin visited the state on Chambliss' behalf. Chambliss ended up defeating Martin by 15 percentage points in the December runoff, after winning by just three points a few weeks earlier in the November general election.

"I can't overstate the impact she had down here," Chambliss told Fox News the day after the runoff. "When she walks in a room, folks just explode."

But for all her charisma, Palin remains a decidedly mixed bag politically. While she remains wildly popular with many conservatives, she's held in contempt by many Democrats and has had little success winning over independents, who make up a growing share of voters in many states.

"She's a very polarizing figure. A lot of people love her, a lot of people just as strongly dislike her. Nobody's neutral about her," said Merle Black, a political science professor at Emory University in Atlanta.

For their part, Democrats in both New Jersey and Virginia were eager to link their rival GOP contenders to Palin.

"Her positions are certainly consistent with where Christie's been," Corzine spokesman Sean Darcy said. "They would both deny a woman the right to choose and they oppose new gun control legislation. And like Palin, Christie's staked out conservative right-wing positions on rejecting the federal stimulus money, which would create thousands of jobs."

In Virginia, Jared Leopold, a spokesman for Deeds, said, "If what Bob McDonnell wants to do is to bring in Sarah Palin and advocate for the same Republican policies that would take Virginia backward, I think Virginians would say, 'Thanks but no thanks.'"

A Public Policy Polling survey of Virginia voters taken in October found that by a margin of 44 to 36 percentage points, Palin's selection as vice president made independents less likely to vote for the Republican ticket.
