****** Three YouTube vloggers die in waterfall plunge at Canada's Shannon Falls

Three members of a YouTube travel blogging collective have died after falling over a waterfall in Canada.

Ryker Gamble, Alexey Lyakh and Megan Scraper were part of High On Life, who post videos of their travel adventures.

The group said: "They were three of the warmest, kindest and most driven and outgoing people you could ever meet."

Police said the trio were swimming at the top of Shannon Falls in British Columbia on Tuesday when they "slipped and fell into a pool 30m (98ft) below".

Other members of the group, who have 1.1 million followers on Instagram and more than 500,000 YouTube subscribers, named the three on their memorial fund page and in a tribute video.

They said: "There are truly no words that can be said to ease the pain and the devastation we are all going through right now."

According to the Vancouver Sun, the accident happened when Scraper slipped and fell, with Gamble and Lyakh also getting swept away as they tried to save her.

High On Life are based in Vancouver and were formed by Gamble, Lyakh and another high school friend, Parker Heuser, after they travelled the world in 2012.

They decided to turn travel and video production into a full-time job and often promoted brands and destinations in the pictures and videos they posted from exotic locations.

Their Facebook page says: "High On Life is the attitude to embrace all of life's opportunities with a positive outlook and energy."

In one of his last Instagram posts, Gamble, spoke about the things we can all learn from "our younger selves".

He wrote: "Life isn't about responsibilities, tough decisions and hard work, it's about feeling bliss and living in the moment."

Last year, Gamble, Lyakh and another group member, Justis Price Brown, were banned from US federal land for five years after pleading guilty to walking on a sensitive hot spring in Yellowstone National Park and other crimes at parks across the western US.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Royal Canadian Mounted Police said they had received a call about three people swimming in one of the pools at the top of Shannon Falls, about 36 miles (58km) north of Vancouver.

"The individuals were with a group of friends when they slipped and fell into a pool 30 metres below," they said.

They added that teams had "worked throughout the day to complete the complex recovery of all three people from Shannon Falls" and that the file had been given to the coroner's office.

The British Columbia Coroners Service said on Friday they were in the early stages of the investigation.

An official confirmed the three were in their 20s, though Gamble's age has been reported as 30.

The Shannon Falls region and its old growth forests are an increasingly popular destination to visit in the province.

The waterfalls themselves are among of the tallest in British Columbia, reaching 1,009ft (335m) at their highest point.

In the wake of the tragedy, officials are warning people to be cautious in the area.

"Areas like Shannon Falls have very polished granite, it's very slippery with the mist and the lichen and etcetera that builds up around there-going in or near those pools has great risk," John Wilcox with Squamish Search and Rescue told radio station News 1130 on Wednesday.

"It's a very unfortunate circumstance hopefully we can all learn from."

ANGELO COLON-CORTIZ IS VANESSA MARCOTTE'S KILLER (SANCTUARY CITIES)

ANGELO COLON-CORTIZ IS GOOGLE EMPLOYEE VANESSA MARCOTTE'S KILLER (SANCTUARY CITIES):

ANGELO COLON-CORTIZ IS NOT INNOCENT.

HE IS NOT AN INNOCENT IMMIGRANT.

HE BRUTALLY MURDERED VANESSA AND TRIED TO BURN HER BODY.

CORTIZ'S BAIL IS $10 MILLION.

****** Married FedEx worker, 31, accused of raping and murdering Google executive while she jogged appears in court and has bail set at $10million

Angelo Colon-Ortiz, 31, pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated assault, aggravated assault and battery, and assault with intent to rape.

Prosecutors expected to file murder charges against him in about a month
Colon-Ortiz is accused of raping and killing Vanessa Macrotte, whose naked body was found on August 7, 2016 in Massachusetts.

Police arrested Colon-Ortiz on Saturday after DNA found on her hands was linked to him.

Colon-Ortiz is a recent transplant from Puerto Rico who is married and works for FedEx in the Worceset area.

A suspect accused of raping and murdering a Google executive while she was out jogging near her mother's Massachusetts home last summer was arraigned this morning on assault charges and ordered held on $10million cash
bail.

Angelo Colon-Ortiz, 31, was taken into custody on Saturday in connection to the August 2016 killing of 27-year-old Vanessa Marcotte in Leominster, Massachusetts.

The suspect, a US citizen who had only recently moved from his native Puerto Rico to Worcester, Massachusetts, was led into Leominster District Court on Tuesday morning and used the services of a Spanish-English interpreter to follow the legal proceedings.

Ortiz was arraigned on criminal counts of aggravated assault, aggravated assault and battery and assault with intent to rape.

Prosecutors said they sought the multimilion-dollar bail because they expect to charge him with murder within about a month.

Judge Mark Noonan agreed to set Colon-Ortiz’s bail at $10million and scheduled his pre-trial conference for May 24.

Attorney Edward Ryan Jr representing the 31-year-old suspect, who was described in court as a married FedEx employee, according to the Boston Globe, entered not guilty pleas to the assault counts on Colon-Ortiz’s behalf. He did not argue for lower bail, but reserved the right to seek lower bail later.

Vanessa Marcotte’s father, John Marcotte, and uncle Steven Therrien were present at the arraignment but made no statements to the press.

State police arrested Colon-Ortiz in Worcester after police used DNA found on Marcotte's hands to link him to the killing.

Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr commended Marcotte's bravery at a press conference on Saturday.

'It was through her determined fight and efforts that we obtained the DNA of her killer,' he told the crowd.

Residents from the community applauded as Early confirmed Colon-Ortiz's arrest, which came after police built a DNA profile of Marcotte's killer.

They used that profile - and a report of a dark SUV spotted near the scene of the August 7, 2016 killing - to identify the suspect, Early said.

In a written statement, her parents said: 'After eight long months, we're able to take the first step toward justice for Vanessa.

'She was a beautiful, intelligent, and generous young woman whose passion for giving back to the community will always be remembered.

'As we move forward, her spirit will live on through The Vanessa T Marcotte Foundation that strives to empower women to live boldly and fearlessly.'

According to its website, the foundation's goal is to to help women 'live free from the fear of violence.'

It aims to to that by 'partnering with organizations that deliver educational programs to promote female empowerment, challenge and undermine gender stereotypes, and provide mentorship opportunities [for women].'

Marcotte, a graduate of Boston University, was found near her mom's Princeton, Massachusetts, home on August 7, 2016. Her hands, feet and head had been burned.

The New Yorker, who was visiting her mother at the time, was found dead after she didn't return to their home from a run.

Colon-Ortiz is being held in at the state police barracks in Millbury on $1 million bail.

Early Jr said that a Massachusetts State Trooper saw a dark SUV in Worcester, similar to the one that had been spotted driving from the scene.

The man driving fitted a description of the suspect, he said, so the trooper went to the man's home and was able to take a DNA sample from the man's cheek.

The test results, which came in on Friday, said that the sample matched DNA found on Marcotte's body.

Colon-Ortiz was then arrested, and is set to make his first appearance in court on Tuesday.

Early Jr said that Colon-Ortiz was working near where Marcotte was killed on the day of her brutal death. He has no criminal history.

In February, Early Jr said they had made a DNA breakthrough in the case, and revealed that they were seeking a Hispanic man of average height.

The suspect was also likely to have had scratches or cuts on his face, neck, hands and arms that day, police said.

They added that they believed him to be the same man seen driving a dark colored SUV in the area around the time that the young jogger was killed.

Police have not revealed how they acquired the DNA, saying only that they got it during the course of their investigation, and that it was on Marcotte's hands.

Marcotte vanished on an afternoon run while on a visit to the home of her mom in Worcester from New York.

Her naked body was found at around 8.20pm in woodlands near the home.

It's believed she was killed some time between 1pm, when she left her mom's home, and 4pm.

She had been sexually assaulted, and her hands, feet and part of her head were burned.

Marcotte's shocking murder left her family shattered, they said towards the end of last year.

Her uncle, Steven Therrien, read an emotional statement at a church in the town on December 31, asking for help finding the young woman's killer.

'Not a day goes by that we don't reflect on the enormity of our loss. She had already achieved much but we know she had much more to do.

'She was a loving, caring, intelligent young woman who had her whole life ahead of her.'

Marcotte's parents, Rossana and John Marcotte, stood silent next to Therrien at the news conference, holding back tears.

Her father held a banner that read: 'Justice for Vanessa.'

And at Marcotte's funeral, her best friend, Leah Abrahams, gave a moving eulogy to her slain friend.

'She was so perfect, it was otherworldly,' she said.

'Something about Vanessa always reminded me of the ocean - so breathlessly beautiful, quiet and peaceful.'

She later said: 'You epitomize grace, light, humility, and absolute magic.'

Marcotte was killed just weeks after Queens jogger Karina Vetrano was brutally raped and murdered while she was out for a run. A suspect in her death, Chanel Lewis, admitted murdering her in February.

SUSAN RICE'S MATA HARI SPYING ON TRUMP TEAM DETAILED & POLITICAL

SUSAN RICE'S SPYING ON TRUMP TEAM WAS EXTREMELY DETAILED & POLITICAL: (MATA HARI)

SPYING ON TRUMP IN 2016 HAD NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH RUSSIA.

GOOGLE IS TRYING TO HIDE THIS STORY.

MANY AMERICANS & US SOLDIERS WERE SPIED ON UNDER OBAMA WHILE ISIL OPERATIVES HAD FREE REIGN.

IS CONGRESS AFRAID TO INVESTIGATE RICE BECAUSE SHE IS A BLACK WOMAN??

LET THE CONGRESSIONAL HEARINGS BEGIN.

Sources: Fox News, The Federalist, Alex Jones, PBS, YouTube

****** Reports in unmasking controversy were detailed, had info about 'everyday lives'

The intelligence reports at the center of the Susan Rice unmasking controversy were detailed, and almost resembled a private investigator’s file, according to a Republican congressman familiar with the documents.

This is information about their everyday lives," Rep. Peter King of New York, a member of the House Intelligence committee said. "Sort of like in a divorce case where lawyers are hired, investigators are hired just to find out what the other person is doing from morning until night and then you try to piece it together later on.”

On the House Intelligence Committee, only the Republican chairman, Devin Nunes of California, and the ranking Democrat Adam Schiff, also of California, have personally reviewed the intelligence reports. Some members were given broad outlines.

Nunes has consistently stated that the files caused him deep concern because the unmasking went beyond the former national security adviser Mike Flynn, and the information was not related to Moscow.

Schiff said in a statement, “I cannot comment on the content of these materials or any other classified documents, and nothing should be inferred from the fact that I am treating classified materials the way they should be treated - by refusing to comment on them. Only the Administration has the power to declassify the information and make it available to the public."

Former National Security Adviser Rice is under scrutiny after allegations she sought to unmask the identities of Trump associates caught up in surveillance - such as phone calls between foreign intelligence targets. Rice denies ever having sought such information for political purposes and has defended her requests as routine.

But the most recent government data shows that unmasking or identifying Americans happens in a limited number of cases. The Office for the Director of National Intelligence, which oversees the 17 intelligence agencies, said "...in 2015, NSA disseminated 4,290 FAA Section 702 intelligence reports that included U.S. person information. Of those 4,290 reports, the U.S. person information was masked in 3,168 reports and unmasked in 1,122 reports."

The report said "NSA is allowed to unmask the identity for the specific requesting recipient only under certain conditions and where specific additional controls are in place" and those conditions were met for "654 U.S. person identities" in 2015.

That means Americans were identified in 26 percent of the cases, or roughly one in four intelligence reports.

During his March 20 testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, NSA director Admiral Mike Rogers said only 20 individuals within the agency are authorized to approve those requests.

“They receive specific training, there are specific controls put in place in terms of our ability to disseminate information out of the databases associated with U.S. persons,” Rogers said at the time. What it appears to suggest is that the NSA itself agreed that the instances in which Rice requested unmasking warranted that action.

FBI Director James Comey was less direct. "I don't know for sure. As I sit here, surely more, given the nature of the FBI's work," he testified.

"It would be nice to know the universe of people who have the power to unmask a U.S. citizen's name," South Carolina Republican congressman Trey Gowdy pressed. "Because that might provide something of a roadmap to investigate who might've actually disseminated a masked U.S. citizen's name."

Rice told NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell that the reports were requested by the Obama administration, which announced a probe into the Russian election hacking in early December. Two months earlier in October, before the election, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Homeland Security Department put out a joint statement about Moscow's interference.

Rice told Mitchell, "Fulfilling the president's request for such a report, they went back and scrubbed more reports. They began to provide more such reports to American officials, including myself."

Given the late fall timeline, it is not clear the intelligence reports Rice discussed during the NBC interview, are the same files reviewed by Nunes and Schiff.

Speaking to Fox News Wednesday, President Trump said he believed the former national security adviser may have committed a crime when she sought the identities of the Trump team members. The allegation was first reported by the New York Times.

While not commenting on the individual case, a former senior intelligence official explained the request must be approved by the NSA. Rice would have understood that there is an extensive government paper trail, that can be audited within the NSA, that shows who requested the unmasking, on what basis, and whether it was granted. This raises more questions about Rice, her motivation and whether it was authorized higher up, offering cover.

If approved, the former senior intelligence official said, only the requester, in this case Rice, would receive the information. Based on Fox News’ reporting, the information was shared beyond Rice, but it is not clear if those who received it had a “need to know.”

A spokeswoman for Rice, Erin Pelton, said in an email to the New York Times on Wednesday, “I’m not going to dignify the president’s ludicrous charge with a comment.” Pelton works for Mercury LLC, a crisis management firm.

At the height of the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack fallout, and questions about whether Rice and a former senior intelligence official had misled Congress about the role of an internet video in the deaths of four Americans, Mercury LLC was also tasked with handling the Fox News media inquiries.

******* YOUTUBE DECLARES WAR ON POLITICALLY INCORRECT OPINIONS

Google-owned platform demonetizes "controversial" content

A new “advertiser friendly” policy introduced by YouTube will punish those who express politically incorrect opinions or dare to offend viewers by de-monetizing their content.

The new rules have sparked an outcry from the YouTube community because they are so incredibly restrictive.

YouTube will now retain the right to demonetize any videos that contain, “Controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including subjects related to war, political conflicts, natural disasters and tragedies, even if graphic imagery is not shown.”

“Inappropriate language, including harassment, profanity and vulgar language,” is also being demonetized.

YouTube’s new policy will completely disincentivize YouTubers from discussing politically incorrect topics or expressing controversial opinions because they know they will be punished for doing so.

Many YouTubers make a living off their channel and will therefore be walking on eggshells to avoid the company’s stringent new rules.

The new policy bears some hallmarks of the Communist Chinese government’s “social credit score system,” whereby Internet users are punished by private companies and their peers for expressing unpopular views on social media.

The move is primarily designed to scare away YouTubers from making anti-establishment political content, but prominent YouTubers are already reporting that videos on everything from acne solutions to tips on combating depression are being demonetized because they are not “advertiser friendly”.

“The channels that self-identify as vulnerable by these advertising guidelines seem to be news channels covering sensitive real-world topics,”reports Kotaku.

Prominent YouTuber Philip DeFranco responded to the controversy by vowing, “I’m not going to censor myself,” despite the fact that dozens of his videos have already been demonetized.

Google-owned YouTube is of course a private company and can enforce any rules it likes, but with the advent of such corporations becoming so large (more powerful than countries in some cases), in addition to them insisting on being treated as a public utility, the move is a massive stab in the back for the content creators who helped build the platform in the first place.

As Matt Drudge warned about when he appeared on the Alex Jones Show nearly a year ago, creators allowing their content to be swallowed up by social media ghettos was always going to lead to this outcome.

“I don’t know why they’ve been successful in pushing everybody into these little ghettos, these Facebooks, these Tweets, these Instagrams,” Drudge told Jones. “This is ghetto, this is corporate; they’re taking your energy and you’re getting nothing in return.”

The video below sums up the impact the new rules will have on YouTube unless they are reversed.

****** YouTube pledges to 'fix' Restricted Mode's LGBTQ+ censorship

The company says that filtering out the videos along with mature content was a 'mistake.'

After a post by Rowan Ellis, many people recently noticed that YouTube's Restricted Mode filter consistently blocked videos containing LGBTQ+ related content. Despite tweeting that it is supposed to only filter mature content, users tracked down selections like this Tegan & Sara video that were blocked despite being incredibly tame.

In a blog post tonight, YouTube VP Johanna Wright stated that "we must and will do a better job."

The exec admitted that "...this feature isn't working the way it should.

We're sorry and we're going to fix it." While claiming that only 1.5 percent of traffic comes with Restricted Mode turned on, Wright also said that as a matter of principle, access to "important content and different points of view" should be allowed. YouTube has already manually unblocked a few videos where the system made "mistakes in understanding context and nuances," but she also writes that it will take time to roll out more changes.

****** The Richest YouTube Star of All Time Just Got Fired by Disney

PewDiePie could lose millions of dollars.

If you play video games, or are under the age of 20, you’ve likely heard of PewDiePie. He’s the irreverent YouTube vlogger (or video blogger) who reviews products from Nintendo, Sony-Playstation and the like, while also poking fun at Internet culture.

He also happens to be the richest YouTube star of all time:

Forbes says he made approximately $15 million last year, more than anyone else doing similar work.

In total, his videos have been viewed 14.7 billion times, more than any other individual on YouTube.

And with 53 million subscribers, he has nearly double as many subscriptions as the video streaming service’s next top star.

But this week, the reputation of PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, suffered a major blow:

Disney, the company that owns the studio that helps promote Kjellberg’s videos, severed its ties with him after the Wall Street Journal reported that Kjellberg has posted nine videos since August that include offensive material.

In some of the videos, he paid two shirtless Indian men to make a video holding up a sign that said “Death to All Jews.” In another, he showed a man dressed as Jesus Christ saying, “Hitler did absolutely nothing wrong.”

which is owned by Google, followed suit, announcing it would pull Kjellberg’s channel from its premium advertising program and cancel the second season of his reality show, Variety reported.

Kjellberg responded to the initial Wall Street Journalreport in a Tumblr post, saying he was “trying to show how crazy the modern world is, specifically some of the services available online.

“I understand that these jokes were ultimately offensive,” he added. “As laughable as it is to believe that I might actually endorse these people, to anyone unsure on my standpoint regarding hate-based groups: No, I don’t support these people in any way.”

While it is too early to say what the lasting impact of his getting dropped will be, NeoReach, a social media data company, told MONEY that losing the YouTube agreement could end up costing Kjellberg millions of dollars.

CHILDREN OF THESE YOUTUBERS WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR PARENTS' GREED.

Many Black women have discovered a new LEGAL way to earn money to help support their families.

Posting home videos on YouTube and making money from ads which play on those videos has provided a lucrative opportunity for Black mothers to remain at home while still bringing home the bacon.

The most lucrative YouTube videos within the Black community appear to be those filled with Ghetto drama from their own families.

So uploading videos of Black husbands and wives fighting is worth big bucks from YouTube and Google.

Can you say watching Ratchet videos on YouTube while exposing family drama has replaced watching Soap Operas on television??

Sounds great right?

Sounds too good to be true right?

Guess what?

It is true however there are caveats.

One day when Ratchet, Ghetto YouTube channels from these Black women are no longer in high demand, will these Women long term suffer consequences by not being able to become gainfully employed?

One day when Ratchet, Ghetto YouTube channels from these Black women are no longer in high demand, will the Children of these Women suffer consequences by not being able to be accepted to good colleges?

At what future risk are these Black Women willing to pay just to earn a lucrative YouTube check today?

I can hear the sounds of REGRET and Ruined REPUTATIONS fast approaching.

DONALD TRUMP vs BARACK OBAMA: A NEW POLITICAL MOVEMENT (3.0)

@realDonaldTrump

DONALD TRUMP vs BARACK OBAMA: A NEW POLITICAL MOVEMENT

TRUMP BORROWS A PAGE FROM OBAMA'S 2008 POLITICAL PLAYBOOK.

Sources: Political Insider,  MSNBC, The Hill, Rawstory, Webtrends, YouTube

In 2007 Barack Obama Jr officially launched his 2008 campaign for the Oval Office.

During his time on the campaign trail Pres Obama made new political inroads via his unmatched use of Social Media, Google and the Mainstream Media.

Needless to say due to such wise strategy, Obama ushered in a New Political Movement and emerged victoriously in Nov 2008 against his GOP challenger US Senator John McCain.

In fact many registered GOP voters cast their ballots for Obama in 2008.

Fast forward eight years later.

2016 Presumptive GOP US Presidential nominee Donald J Trump appears to have borrowed a page from Pres Obama's 2008 political playbook as it relates to Trump's command of Television Media and Social Media.

Trump has also persuaded large numbers of Democrat voters to switch parties and vote him during the GOP primaries.

So where is Trump's 2016 Democrat presidential challenger Hillary Clinton?

Trump appears to have left Hillary in the dust just as Obama did to her in 2008.

Ladies and Gentlemen!

This is not your Great-grandparents US Presidential election.

Grab a bowl of popcorn and a beverage of choice because this race is going to be ELECTRIC and On FIRE!

Stay Tuned

I predict that Trump is slated to WIN.

Love him or hate him, Donald Trump is shining a massive spotlight on President Barack Obama’s amnesty agenda.

Trump knows that the border is so unprotected that dangerous criminals and terrorists can cross into America with ease.

That’s why the U.S. House of Representatives just issued a major defeat to Obama! Known as the “Donald Trump Act,” House Resolution 3099 takes direct aim at cities which don’t enforce federal laws about sanctuary cities.
The House passed it by an overwhelming 241-197 vote. This is a big deal!
Sanctuary cities have come under heavy scrutiny in the wake of Kathryn Steinle’s death on July 1 in San Francisco. Authorities charged Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez with her killing. Lopez-Sanchez, who is in the U.S. illegally, has a history of felony convictions and has been deported five times.
Critics of the sanctuary laws say such policies encourage people to immigrate to the U.S. illegally at the expense of citizens.
“A refuge for whom? A sanctuary for whom?” Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) said. “A sanctuary for Kate Steinle? Or a refuge for a convicted felon with a 25-year-long criminal history?”
Democrats accused House Republicans of bringing up the bill in part because of real estate mogul and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s focus on illegal immigration and sanctuary cities; they dubbed the bill the “Donald Trump Act.”
“Just a few weeks into his campaign and Donald Trump has a bill on the floor of the House. That is better than some of the senators he’s running against.” Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.) said mockingly.
via The Hill
Democrats can mock this legislation all they want. It’s clear that Republicans are getting serious about exposing the shameful problems caused by millions of illegal aliens flooding into this country.

TRUMP'S BLACK VLOGGERS SILENCED BY DEMOCRATS & GOP ESTABLISHMENT:

ONLY BLACK VLOGGERS WHO SUPPORT DEMOCRATS RECEIVE INTERNET

Sources:  Fox News, Youtube

Is it a coincidence that during the 2016 Presidential election only Black political vloggers who support Hillary Clinton's campaign are receiving a decent amount of Internet traffic?

No it is not a coincidence!

It's not about using a better camera or SEO tricks, it's about Dirty 2016 Politics and limiting Freedom of Speech.

FYI:  Cable conglomerates Comcast and Time Warner are complicit in this political effort to stifle Freedom of Speech.

In the video above I clearly explain how Democrat and GOP Establishment leaders are intentionally trying to silence Black political vloggers who choose to support Donald J Trump's bid for US President.

OBAMA ADMIN BLOCKS PUBLIC INFO & SOCIAL MEDIA ACCESS (GOV'T PROPAGANDA)

OBAMA ADMIN BLOCKS PUBLIC INFORMATION & SOCIAL MEDIA ACCESS (GOV'T PROPAGANDA):

INCLUDES YOUTUBE AND ON-AIR CABLE NEWS ABOUT RADICAL ISLAM.

The fight for access to public information has never been harder, Associated Press Washington Bureau Chief Sally Buzbee said recently at a joint meeting of the American Society of News Editors, the Associated Press Media Editors and the Associated Press Photo Managers.

The problem extends across the entire federal government and is now trickling down to state and local governments.

Here is Buzbee’s list of eight ways the Obama administration is making it hard for journalists to find information and cover the news:

1) As the United States ramps up its fight against Islamic militants, the public can’t see any of it. News organizations can’t shoot photos or video of bombers as they take off — there are no embeds. In fact, the administration won’t even say what country the S. bombers fly from.

2) The White House once fought to get cameramen, photographers and reporters into meetings the president had with foreign leaders overseas. That access has become much rarer. Think about the message that sends other nations about how the world’s leading democracy deals with the media: Keep them out and let them use handout photos.

3) Guantanamo: The big important 9/11 trial is finally coming up. But we aren’t allowed to see most court filings in real time — even of nonclassified material. So at hearings, we can’t follow what’s happening. We don’t know what prosecutors are asking for, or what defense attorneys are arguing.

4) Information about Guantanamo that was routinely released under President George W. Bush is now kept secret. The military won’t release the number of prisoners on hunger strike or the number of assaults on guards. Photo and video coverage is virtually nonexistent.

5) Day-to-day intimidation of sources is chilling. AP’s transportation reporter’s sources say that if they are caught talking to her, they will be fired. Even if they just give her facts, about safety, for example. Government press officials say their orders are to squelch anything controversial or that makes the administration look bad.

6) One of the media — and public’s — most important legal tools, the Freedom of Information Act, is under siege. Requests for information under FOIA have become slow and expensive. Many federal agencies simply don’t respond at all in a timely manner, forcing news organizations to sue each time to force action.

7) The administration uses FOIAs as a tip service to uncover what news organizations are pursuing. Requests are now routinely forwarded to political appointees. At the agency that oversees the new health care law, for example, political appointees now handle the FOIA requests.

8) The administration is trying to control the information that state and local officials can give out. The FBI has directed local police not to disclose details about surveillance technology the police departments use to sweep up cellphone data. In some cases, federal officials have formally intervened in state open records cases, arguing for secrecy.

BLACK POLITICAL BUZZ has been around for eight years.

Thank you to all my Supporters & my Haters!

From eight years (2008-2016) the BLACK POLITICAL BUZZ network has been on the Political Social Media scene buzzing about POLITRICKS.

My blog has attracted more than 1 Million views and I didn't have to PAY for views.

In fact, prior to me launching my Media network the word "BUZZ" was rarely used in mainstream POLITICAL circles or when discussing POLITICS.

BLACK POLITICAL BUZZ is a Media Pioneer which has survived the dirty Shenanigans of several Key Players from both major Political Parties, who wanted me to Shut up and Disappear whenever I disagreed with their agenda.

But thank God I'm still here!

As a BLACK American voter I'm not obligated to rubber stamp every platform issue endorsed and pushed by the national DEMOCRAT party.

Refusing to rubber stamp each issue endorsed by the national DEMOCRAT party has of course cost me some Lucrative OPPORTUNITIES.

Nevertheless I refuse to give up no matter what.

BLACK POLITICAL BUZZ is a Unique voice in the world of POLITICS and I plan to be around for many more years.

I want encourage my Supporters to persevere and Never Give Up in life no matter what.

Thank you again and God Bless!

Happy New Year!

Why do BLACK Social Media VLOGGERS & Bloggers continue to lag far behind WHITE Vloggers even when our Content is good or great?

Could it be Pres OBAMA'S administration has used Paid TROLLS to Discredit the Reputations of legitimate BLACK Online Entrepreneurs so they can't attract Sponsors?

Prior to Pres OBAMA Black Entrepreneurs made tons of legal Money online.

Now only WHITE and Middle Eastern people are making Money online.

Google Has Restored Black Political Buzz On Blogger But...

Well, Well isn’t that something?

Last weekend my blog Black Political Buzz was deleted without warning by Google from Blogger.

Instead of my waiting around I just decided to move on over to Word Press, however I kept the same domain name.

Mysteriously out of the blue, this morning my blog suddenly reappeared back on Blogger's web hosting platform.

Hmmm. What must I do?

Should I just manually delete it and blog solely on Word Press?

No, instead I’m going to stick with both of them.

Why?

Let’s just say I won’t be burned twice.

In the event it ever happens again, I’ll definitely be better prepared.

So all you haters who falsely reported my blog as being a Spam site didn’t win.

Black Political Buzz is definitely going places and it won’t be stopped by jealous haters.

To my loyal readers, thanks for your prayers and for sticking with me.

I truly appreciate you:)

Laurel

Google Buzz Violates Wire Tap Laws? EPIC Says Yes

EPIC: Google May Have Broken Wiretap Law

If Google wanted to create a quick buzz around its new social networking service, it's certainly accomplished that. Last week, when the Web giant automatically signed up millions of Gmail users for its new Buzz social network, much of the Internet was sent into a privacy tizzy.

Google announced serious modifications to the service later in the week, but that wasn’t enough for the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC). On Tuesday, it filed a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, asking the regulator to order more changes. EPIC also accused Google of violating Federal Consumer Protection Law and suggested the firm may have broken wiretap laws, too.

While the details of the Buzz privacy dispute can seem esoteric, the main thrust of EPIC's complaint is simple: Google should never have pushed all 37 million U.S. Gmail users into a social networking service without asking, said EPIC Executive Director Marc Rotenberg.

"E-mail is one area on the Internet where we have a well-understood expectation of privacy," Rotenberg said. "E-mail is for private messages. You sign up for social networking to communicate publicly with people, Google tried to turn e-mail into social networking, and that's where they ran into trouble."

The complaint lays out a series of alleged Google missteps that EPIC says constitute unfair or deceptive trade practices that violate the Federal Trade Commission Act. For starters, it says, all users who checked their Gmail account last week were suddenly signed up for Buzz. While Google offered users a chance to "check out" the service, it didn't give them the option to avoid it.

"Regardless of whether a user clicked the button labeled 'Sweet! Check out Buzz' or “Nah, go to my inbox,’ Google Buzz was activated," the complaint says.

Gmail account holders who then began using Buzz found their first public posting was essentially a list of their most frequent e-mail contacts. Buzz decided for itself who users e-mailed most often, then put those users on a list as "followers" and made that list public. Quickly, nightmare hypothetical scenarios were published -- workers who had recently e-mailed about job interviews had their job hunt exposed, for example. Cheating lovers or spouses were outed.

"Gmail contact lists routinely include deeply personal information, including the names and email addresses of estranged spouses, current lovers, attorneys and doctors," the EPIC complaint said. "Users were not explicitly warned that their lists would be automatically visible to the public. ... Anyone looking at a newly activated Buzz user’s following list would know that the list indicated which people that user communicated with most often."

In addition to causing potential embarrassment -- or worse – Google may have broken the law by disclosing e-mail contacts, EPIC said.

"Improper disclosure of even a limited amount of subscriber information by an e-mail service provider can be a violation of both state and federal law," it said. "An attempt by an e-mail service provider to attempt to convert the personal information of all of its customers into a separate service raises far-reaching concerns."

Google has already gone through two rounds of revisions with its service, and Buzz now tells new users that frequent e-mail partners will be “followers” unless the user prevents that. New users now see a list of potential followers -- checked by default -- when they sign up for the service.

But on Tuesday, Rotenberg said that Google still hadn't gone far enough to address privacy concerns. Buzz still ropes in Gmail users and their e-mail contacts by default, which can lead to unintended disclosure of personal information, he says.

Rotenberg said Buzz users should have to actively opt in before Buzz is activated, rather than opt out.

"It's always about the defaults," he said.

EPIC has called on the FTC to force Google to:

*make Buzz a fully opt-in service.
* force Google to cease using Gmail users’ private address book contacts to compile social networking lists.
*give Buzz users more control over their information.

For a company that has already dealt with plenty of privacy related issues, Google's misreading of public reaction to Buzz is a surprise, said Larry Ponemon, a privacy researcher who runs The Ponemon Institute.

"It is astonishing to me that a decision was made to release a product that the average person would see as a potential privacy snafu," he said. "Things like this seem to happen because people making decisions just aren't thinking about privacy. … Sometimes companies don't when they are about to release something they think is really cool."

Ponemon did say that he was impressed with Google's quick response to the controversy, taking only a few days to make changes to the service.

"They did take it seriously, you could tell they had all hands on deck," he said.

Rotenberg said Google was more worried about stiff competition in the social media world than privacy.

“Google tried to take advantage of its market position" by dragging all Gmail users into Buzz overnight, he said, thereby giving the service a running start in the uphill battle to catch Facebook and Twitter in the social networking space.

That's why he wants the FTC to be more proactively involved in privacy policy.

"The FTC has had a hands-off policy, leading to some bad business practices," he said.

Google said in an e-mail statement to msnbc.com that it was working hard to make adjustments to its service based on user feedback, and will keep "user transparency and control top of mind.

“We also welcome dialogue with EPIC and appreciate hearing directly from them about their concerns," the statement continued. "Our door is always open to organizations with suggestions about our products and services.”
