President 2.0/ Whitehouse.gov Updates Now Available on Twitter & Facebook!
In President Obama's quest for Government Reform that's Creative, Transparent and more Efficient, his administration has decided to broaden its outreach to constituents of all age groups, via the use of Social Networking tools.
Due to using the Internet to reach millions of voters during his campaign, he earned the moniker "President 2.0". (That's a useful hint for the G.O.P.)
After the election, he wasted no time living up to his web 2.0 nickname by authorizing the official White House website to be switched over at exactly twelve noon Eastern time on the day of his Inauguration and by refusing to part with his Blackberry.
Now in addition to reading daily correspondence on the interactive Whitehouse.gov Blog and viewing President Obama's weekly address videos on Youtube, real time administration updates will be available to the public via Twitter, Facebook and MySpace.
Authentic White House photos are available on Flickr.
