"Tea Parties For Change" With First Lady Michelle Obama!

Forgetting about those negative "Tax Day Tea Parties" held around the country on April 15Th, I've thought of a more positive way to use Tea bags to gain the attention of American Voters.

What if First Lady Michelle Obama started inviting Women of all races, from different states and all walks of life to the White House once a month for a Tea Party?

Not just any old, boring Tea Parties (No Offense to the English), instead they can be called "Tea Parties for Change"!

During those meetings with the First Lady the Women invited will after meeting her, be granted the wonderful opportunity to hear from other Women.

Women like Michelle who took charge of their lives and invoked Change.

For example: Hillary Clinton, Janet Napolitano, Nancy Pelosi, School Teachers, Nurses, Housewives, Doctors, Grandmothers, Artists, unknown Female Politicians, Scientists, Activists, Writers, Actresses, Female Mayors, Female Governors, etc.,

How would Mrs. Obama and her Social Secretary Desiree Rogers
go about arranging who gets chosen to attend this historical event? Via the White House On-line Lottery system.

To make the event manageable I'd say no more than 100 Women from all 50 states be invited at any given time.

The themes would be Seasonal and the events should include Tours of the White House.

Ages of the invitees would range from 16 to 100+ years old.

The participants would also be taught how to have their voices heard as they work to bring about the CHANGE they want to see in their regions as it relates to Education, Teen Pregnancy, Jobs, Green Energy, Housing, Homelessness Prevention , Pre-School Education, Racial Unity, HIV/AIDS Prevention, Clean Transportation, Voting Rights, etc.,

During the closing of the Tea Party, each attendee will receive a gift bag with a signed portrait of Michelle and a DVD of that day's events inside.

What a wonderful way to help create Unity and bring about Positive Change in our nation. Don't you think?

I'm sure that Women all over the world could only dream for an opportunity to share in this awesome experience.

Perhaps someone should present this idea to the White House Staff or better yet to First Lady Michelle Obama.

I think I will.
