Prez. Obama Calmly Handles First International Security Crisis

For all the naysayers (McCain, Cheney, etc.,) who complained that President Obama didn't have what it takes if ever faced with an International Security Crisis, I'm sure they're eating crow right about now.

This past weekend when presented with the capture of a U.S. Cargo ship by pirates off the Horn of Africa where civil conflict has frequently ravaged that region, he calmly demonstrated to the world how his administration would act when presented with attacks or power struggles from other nations against the United States.

In the days of old , Pirates frequently terrorized the seas by capturing traveling passenger ships or cargo vessels, often killing entire crews, then robbing and burning the scene of the crime. Today Somalian pirates often using some of those same tactics, have proven to be just as ruthless.

Such as was the case when a U.S. Cargo ship with Captain Richard Phillips on board, was taken hostage Friday by several Somalian pirates apparently to be held for ransom.

To remedy the situation there were no bells, no whistles, no cries for World War III from the Obama Administration. Instead an almost serene display of delegated authority, followed by the perfect execution of Military orders.

The final result was the killing of three pirates by Navy snipers and the surrender of a fourth pirate, afterwards the safe rescue of Captain Phillips.

Now while the Media and Obama's naysayers stand dumbfounded by our new leader's stable, calm show of power the rest of us who supported him from day one (like myself), can smile and boast with humble taunts of "We told you so".

Go ahead on President Obama with your bad self!
