Michelle "Bombshell" McGee Apologizes To Sandra Bullock For Adultery

Michelle (Bombshell) McGee Offers An "Apology" To Sandra Bullock

Michelle (Bombshell) McGee has offered "a heartfelt apology" to the woman whose marriage she wrecked.

The tattooed model opened up to Australian TV show "TodayTonight" in a new interview in which she expresses her remorse for allegedly carrying on an 11-month affair with Sandra Bullock's husband, Jesse James, according to UsMagazine.com.

"I do feel guilty. I feel bad for Sandra," she said.

When asked what she would say to the Oscar-winning actress, McGee answered, "I'm sorry for your embarrassment. I'm sorry all this is public. I'm sorry for everything."

McGee, 32, also took swipes at James for claiming he was separated from Bullock when they first became intimate.

"I feel like I was duped just as much as Sandra was. I feel like I was lied to just as much as she was," she said. "If Jesse was upfront with me in the beginning, we wouldn't be in this situation."

Just one week after contacting him via MySpace, McGee met face-to-face with James at his West Coast Choppers shop where she claims to have slept with him "two or three times."

"I did know he was married to Sandra. When we were sitting on a couch watching a movie, he leaned over to kiss me, and I said, 'Slow down! What's going on between you and Sandra?'" she said. "He said, 'She lives in Austin, I live here. We're not together because she's filming a movie...' I believed him.... he said he didn't want to talk about it, I assumed because of legalities."

Though James reportedly sent her text messages every day, McGee said she didn't see much of him after their first two adulterous months together.

"I cared about him. My feelings were growing toward him," she said.

James, 40, checked himself into a treatment facility on March 26 "to deal with personal issues" in the hope of saving his five-year marriage, his rep said in a statement.

With Bullock still in seclusion since news of the alleged affair broke, McGee said she understands what the "Blind Side" actress, 45, is going through.

"She must be hurt, devastated, upset, embarrassed. I want to give her a heartfelt apology," she said. "I'm sorry for her embarrassment and pain. I do feel really bad about it."

Tiger Woods Joins Practice Round At Augusta

With little fanfare and even less attention, Tiger Woods arrived at Augusta National on Sunday afternoon to continue preparations for the Masters.

In what would likely be categorized as his first semi-public appearance on a golf course since a highly publicized sex scandal caused him to take a leave from the game, Woods walked onto Augusta National's new state-of-the-art driving range at 1:39 p.m. to begin warming up.

Woods leisurely hit balls between pros Paul Casey and Brian Gay, with his long-time caddie, Steve Williams, at his side. Swing coach Hank Haney watched from behind.

Augusta National was not open to spectators on Sunday, but there was a good bit of activity nonetheless as last-minute preparations were on-going. Media members, as is customary, were allowed on the property, but not the course, as the club was still open to member play.

And a good number of members took advantage of warm temperatures and perfect conditions, as did several players who are in this week's field. The tournament begins Thursday.

Woods, who has played several practice rounds at Augusta National since announcing on March 16 that he would make his return to golf here, headed to the course after his warm-up session where he saw friend and 1998 Masters champion Mark O'Meara coming off the ninth green.

The two briefly embraced, then Woods joined O'Meara for a practice round on the 10th tee -- with at least a half-dozen security personnel tagging along.

"That's the first time I've seen Tiger since the British Open, July last year," O'Meara said after the 9-hole practice round. "It was nice to see my friend. I care deeply about Tiger and his family."

"I know it's been a tough 4 or 5 months. Like I told him out there, this is where he belongs, on the golf course. He's done a lot of good for the game. The personal side of it, obviously ... not so good. I think he realizes that. He's trying to turn himself around as a person and as a father."

"Hey listen, no one is perfect. We thought he was but no one is actually perfect."

Woods has not played a tournament round since winning the Australian Masters on Nov. 15. O'Meara said that Woods was "swinging well" and that he looked "great."

"He's doing what he needs to do, starting back at a pace that he wants to start back," O'Meara said. "He's going to be fine. Of all the people I've ever met, he's one of the toughest guys mentally I've ever met. I think he'll do well this week. He's been out of the game for awhile, but he left with a win. Certainly he knows how to win. He's won here four times. I just think he's ready to get back out playing and competing against the rest of the guys."

Breaking sports news video. MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL highlights and more.

Don't Listen to Stephen A. Smith: Believe Tiger Woods' Apology

We’ve had months to speculate, spread rumors, read tabloids, and talk trash.

Tiger Woods did some bad, bad things, and deserved every bit of criticism directed his way. And even he admitted that.

He admitted he was selfish, irresponsible, and foolish. He admitted everything.

He spoke in front of cameras, in front of a room full of people, and he came prepared. He used written words on a piece of paper as a guide, and while it sounded as if he’d read it in front of a mirror a hundred times, it still felt genuine.

But not according to Stephen A. Smith, aka “I’ll say anything that gets me quoted”.

Smith is a joke, always has been, and always will be. He has no right to even begin to question Wood’s motives or beliefs, let alone whether he’s actually genuine.

Smith called Woods’ open apology “fake” and “phony”, and said that he was a robot, merely reading a script.

He even questioned what world everyone else was living in, because they clearly weren’t living in the same world he was.

Thank God for that.

Smith is doing exactly what we expect of him. He’s kicking a man when he’s down. He’s “speaking his mind”, without actually using it.

He’s opening that stupid, loose-tongued mouth for the public to hear all of his ridiculous comments. Because he thinks he’s entitled to it, because he gets paid to do it, and because he loves to go against the grain.

Well, even ESPN’s Skip Bayless would agree that, while it will get you popularity (good or bad), it’s not always best to argue or disagree just to do so.

Tiger Woods braved the cold stares of all the people sitting on their couches across America. The guy is in rehab, trying to repair his marriage, his self esteem, his ego, and his marriage.

He doesn’t need people telling him it’s all for nothing. That he’s a fake. That his words weren’t honest or sincere.

I watched Woods read from a piece of paper, plead (or scold) the media, and telling them not to follow his wife and children.

I wasn’t offended by anything he said. Rather, I was impressed.

He covered all the bases, made all the appropriate apologies, and asked in his final statement, for all of America to think about one day being able to look at him as they once had.

As a role model, a good person, and a family man.

He made his mistakes, and he’s paying dearly for them.

It’s time to accept his apology for what it was: simply a step in the process, something he had to do, and unless we can prove it to be fake, a sincere and genuine piece of the puzzle that leads to him putting his life back together.

Humpy Dumpty fell off the wall, and he’s trying to get back up again. Let’s not let people like Steven A. Smith abuse their power and thwart those attempts.

More, let’s help Woods patch things up. Be patient, wait for him to figure it out. He may not play at the Masters. He may not even play this year.

But that’s besides the point. He’s a man, a husband, and a father before a golfer. And even Stephen A. Smith should be able to respect that. Emphasis on should.

Full Text Of Woods Statement

Good morning, and thank you for joining me. Many of you in this room are my friends. Many of you in this room know me. Many of you have cheered for me or you've worked with me or you've supported me.

Now every one of you has good reason to be critical of me. I want to say to each of you, simply and directly, I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible and selfish behavior I engaged in.

I know people want to find out how I could be so selfish and so foolish. People want to know how I could have done these things to my wife Elin and to my children. And while I have always tried to be a private person, there are some things I want to say.

Elin and I have started the process of discussing the damage caused by my behavior. As Elin pointed out to me, my real apology to her will not come in the form of words; it will come from my behavior over time. We have a lot to discuss; however, what we say to each other will remain between the two of us.

I am also aware of the pain my behavior has caused to those of you in this room. I have let you down, and I have let down my fans. For many of you, especially my friends, my behavior has been a personal disappointment. To those of you who work for me, I have let you down personally and professionally. My behavior has caused considerable worry to my business partners.

To everyone involved in my foundation, including my staff, board of directors, sponsors, and most importantly, the young students we reach, our work is more important than ever. Thirteen years ago, my dad and I envisioned helping young people achieve their dreams through education. This work remains unchanged and will continue to grow. From the Learning Center students in Southern California to the Earl Woods scholars in Washington, D.C., millions of kids have changed their lives, and I am dedicated to making sure that continues.

But still, I know I have bitterly disappointed all of you. I have made you question who I am and how I could have done the things I did. I am embarrassed that I have put you in this position.

For all that I have done, I am so sorry.

I have a lot to atone for, but there is one issue I really want to discuss. Some people have speculated that Elin somehow hurt or attacked me on Thanksgiving night. It angers me that people would fabricate a story like that. Elin never hit me that night or any other night. There has never been an episode of domestic violence in our marriage, ever. Elin has shown enormous grace and poise throughout this ordeal. Elin deserves praise, not blame.

The issue involved here was my repeated irresponsible behavior. I was unfaithful. I had affairs. I cheated. What I did is not acceptable, and I am the only person to blame.

I stopped living by the core values that I was taught to believe in. I knew my actions were wrong, but I convinced myself that normal rules didn't apply. I never thought about who I was hurting. Instead, I thought only about myself. I ran straight through the boundaries that a married couple should live by. I thought I could get away with whatever I wanted to. I felt that I had worked hard my entire life and deserved to enjoy all the temptations around me. I felt I was entitled. Thanks to money and fame, I didn't have to go far to find them.

I was wrong. I was foolish. I don't get to play by different rules. The same boundaries that apply to everyone apply to me. I brought this shame on myself. I hurt my wife, my kids, my mother, my wife's family, my friends, my foundation, and kids all around the world who admired me.

I've had a lot of time to think about what I've done. My failures have made me look at myself in a way I never wanted to before. It's now up to me to make amends, and that starts by never repeating the mistakes I've made. It's up to me to start living a life of integrity.

I once heard, and I believe it's true, it's not what you achieve in life that matters; it's what you overcome. Achievements on the golf course are only part of setting an example. Character and decency are what really count.

Parents used to point to me as a role model for their kids. I owe all those families a special apology. I want to say to them that I am truly sorry.

It's hard to admit that I need help, but I do. For 45 days from the end of December to early February, I was in inpatient therapy receiving guidance for the issues I'm facing. I have a long way to go. But I've taken my first steps in the right direction.

As I proceed, I understand people have questions. I understand the press wants to ask me for the details and the times I was unfaithful. I understand people want to know whether Elin and I will remain together. Please know that as far as I'm concerned, every one of these questions and answers is a matter between Elin and me. These are issues between a husband and a wife.

Some people have made up things that never happened. They said I used performance-enhancing drugs. This is completely and utterly false. Some have written things about my family. Despite the damage I have done, I still believe it is right to shield my family from the public spotlight. They did not do these things; I did.

I have always tried to maintain a private space for my wife and children. They have been kept separate from my sponsors, my commercial endorsements. When my children were born, we only released photographs so that the paparazzi could not chase them. However, my behavior doesn't make it right for the media to follow my 2½-year-old daughter to school and report the school's location. They staked out my wife and they pursued my mom. Whatever my wrongdoings, for the sake of my family, please leave my wife and kids alone.

I recognize I have brought this on myself, and I know above all I am the one who needs to change. I owe it to my family to become a better person. I owe it to those closest to me to become a better man. That's where my focus will be.

I have a lot of work to do, and I intend to dedicate myself to doing it. Part of following this path for me is Buddhism, which my mother taught me at a young age. People probably don't realize it, but I was raised a Buddhist, and I actively practiced my faith from childhood until I drifted away from it in recent years. Buddhism teaches that a craving for things outside ourselves causes an unhappy and pointless search for security. It teaches me to stop following every impulse and to learn restraint. Obviously I lost track of what I was taught.

As I move forward, I will continue to receive help because I've learned that's how people really do change. Starting tomorrow, I will leave for more treatment and more therapy. I would like to thank my friends at Accenture and the players in the field this week for understanding why I'm making these remarks today.

In therapy I've learned the importance of looking at my spiritual life and keeping in balance with my professional life. I need to regain my balance and be centered so I can save the things that are most important to me, my marriage and my children.

That also means relying on others for help. I've learned to seek support from my peers in therapy, and I hope someday to return that support to others who are seeking help. I do plan to return to golf one day, I just don't know when that day will be.

I don't rule out that it will be this year. When I do return, I need to make my behavior more respectful of the game. In recent weeks I have received many thousands of e-mails, letters and phone calls from people expressing good wishes. To everyone who has reached out to me and my family, thank you. Your encouragement means the world to Elin and me.

I want to thank the PGA Tour, Commissioner [Tim] Finchem, and the players for their patience and understanding while I work on my private life. I look forward to seeing my fellow players on the course.

Finally, there are many people in this room, and there are many people at home who believed in me. Today I want to ask for your help. I ask you to find room in your heart to one day believe in me again.

Thank you.
