Dick Cheney Discharged From Hospital After Heart Attack


Former vice president Richard B. Cheney, who suffered a mild heart attack Monday, was discharged Wednesday from George Washington University Hospital, a spokesman said.

"Former Vice President Cheney is feeling good this morning and was discharged from GWU Hospital," spokesman Peter Long said in a statement. "He will resume his normal schedule shortly."

Lab tests at George Washington University Hospital revealed the heart attack, Cheney's fifth. Cheney, 69, has had heart trouble much of his adult life, suffering his first heart attack at 37.
