Dick Cheney Hospitalized
Former Vice President Dick Cheney was at George Washington University hospital Monday night after experiencing chest pains, his office said in a statement.
“He is resting comfortably and undergoing evaluation,” read the statement. It made no mention of when he was admitted.
One doctor at GWU told NBC News that Cheney may require further treatment tomorrow.
The 69-year-old has suffered four heart attacks, his first in his 30s, and had a pacemaker installed in 2001.
Recently, however, Cheney has appeared to be in good health and relishing his post-White House role as one of President Obama’s most outspoken critics. He appeared on ABC’s “This Week” earlier this month and delivered a surprise speech last week at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
