Today President Obama delivered the address for the 2009 U.S. Naval Academy commencement in Annapolis, Maryland.
Among the distinguished, proud military grads was the son of Republican U.S. Senator John McCain , John Sidney "Jack" McCain IV.
While praising and thanking the grads for their patriotic duty to our nation, as their Commander-in-Chief he pledged "to only send them into harm's way when it is absolutely necessary, and with the strategy, the well-defined goals, the equipment and the support that they need to get the job done."
Approximately 1,036 Naval Academy Midshipmen were awarded diplomas at the ceremony.
Congrats!
