Bev. Perdue, North Carolina's First Female Governor is Ready for C-H-A-N-G-E!
On Tuesday Nov. 4th, 2008 Lt. Governor Beverly Perdue (D) became the First Female Governor EVER in the state of North Carolina, of which President-Elect Obama won by the way. Perdue has more than 20 years in Politics however she didn't allow herself to become stagnant, nor is she is a member of the "Good, Ole' boys of the Deep South" network.
Of course there a lot of sore losers who were really hoping that Pat would win, but they failed to see that the Nation including the Deep South, is in fact ready for C-H-A-N-G-E.
The South lost the Civil War and the Slaves were Emancipated! So get over it!
Perdue realized that the Minority Vote is extremely valuable which is why she received the majority of the Black vote and also the reason why she beat Pat McCrory in his own backyard (Charlotte) by 385 votes!
She wasn't ashamed, nor afraid to come to the Black communities to reach us or to listen to our concerns.
Now its time to see if she can really deliver.
She benefited from Obama's win but so what who cares? She Won!
A Victory is still a Victory as long as its legal.
Perdue knows how to relate to N.C. Senate Members, N.C. House Members, and her Constituents regardless of their Economic Status or Ethnicity.
In addition she possesses a Wealth of knowledge about Education, (one of North Carolina's weaknesses).
McCrory missed the mark because he doesn't.
He seemed ONLY able to relate to the "Special Interest Groups" (Wealthy, Caucasians who thinks like he does) and issues that affected that particular population.
Thus his narrow-mindedness and refusal to adapt cost him one of the most elections of the Century.
In the "Spirit of Bi-Partisanship" and for future reference, let's hope McCrory learned a sincere lesson about C-H-A-N-G-E, EQUALITY and U-N-I-T-Y.
Congrats to Bev. Perdue! North Carolina's First Female Governor of C-H-A-N-G-E! She's ready for the task ahead knowing that together Yes We Can!
God Bless!
(Celebrity Andy Griffith endorsed Perdue too.)
